20/20 had a two hour special on this (it's basically the TV version of the Drop Out podcast) and that's the first time I'd ever actually seen her in motion. And so was when I first saw how freaky her eyes are.
I can understand the voice faking thing, as weird as it is. Speaking in a deeper, more "masculine" voice gives you more credibility with certain people. It makes sense that she would use that to appear more serious.

What tickled me was the reporter who broke the story works for the Wall Street Journal. Owned by Old Man Burns (Murdoch), who kicked in a tidy 125 million. Chef's kiss.

It was so creepy and pathetic, all those rich, old powerful men in her thrall.

At one point, there was a Theranos movie in development directed by Adam McKay (Vice, the Big Short) and starring Jennifer Lawrence, but I haven't heard about it in a while.

The hardly blinking thing really is freaky. And when she was dancing to "Can't Touch This" to celebrate getting FDA approval on ONE minor test her machine ran? Cree-pee.

I didn’t know anything about this Elizabeth Holmes thing until I read it here, so I watched the HBO documentary. Wild. I need to check out that podcast. A couple comments on posts that stuck with me: And "I've worn black turtlenecks since I was five years old" should've been the tip off for everybody involved in this mess, LOL. She went to school in Houston. I call shenanigans right there. Or she was a sweaty mess all her life. I know a lot of people who wear pants and long sleeves in hot weather, but turtlenecks? In humid Houston? Since 5?! Yeeeah... I can understand the voice faking thing, as weird as it is. Speaking in a deeper, more "masculine" voice gives you more credibility with certain people. It makes sense that she would use that to appear more serious. Yeah, I can’t blame her for that. As someone who does not “command a room,” I get it. For reasons that we still don’t know, our health insurance does not cover RXs from Walgreens. The timeline matches up, so I wonder if this is why.

Dr. Gardner seemed to have her number.

She has been my favorite person in all of the interviews related to this. I really hope she’s enjoying being proven right about Elizabeth Holmes, lord knows I would be if I were her. If the movie actually does happen, Frances McDormand needs to play her.

If the movie actually does happen, Frances McDormand needs to play her. That’s genius casting right there! I love that when she has to move into self defense mode, she ditches the turtleneck for a white collared shirt/blazer ensemble.
