That news about Fox Searchlight moving up Crazy Heart because Amelia bombed so hard is awesome since I hate Swank so much but given that there are gonna be ten Best Picture slots, I really hope they push hard to have (500) Days of Summer fill one of them...
Is Moon on DVD soon? I dunno if it's still playing here. I flove Rockwell.

I think Moon is out on DVD in January. I'll be buying it for sure and it would be awesome to see Rockwell out and about on Oscar night!

I'm hoping Me and Orson Welles comes up with some noms, especially for my neighbors who wrote the screenplay and co-produced the film. It's not every day that your co-room mom gets an Oscar nod...

Yeah, I think Me and Orson Welles could sneak in like "Mrs Henderson Presents" a few years ago, though it doesn't benefit from having Dame Judi Dench in their cast.

So it's actually good? That makes me happy! I was all ready to dislike it on principle since I didn't want the words "Zac Efron" and "Orson Welles" near each other but I keep seeing posters that make it seem intriguing and I remembered how much I like Claire Danes so I was wanting to see it and hoping it doesn't suck.
Yay!

I saw and floved The Road. I'd love for Viggo and the boy to get some recognition. Robert Duvall...there's a moment in the movie where the mans asks "do you have children?" "I had a son". "What happened to him? and Duvall says "I can't talk about that...with you. That pause and the whispered with you. Athousand hours of grief and pain in that pause.
But, there'll be no recognition of the Road, so even though I haven't seen A Single Man, and I am a camera aside, Christopher Isherwood's mysoginy bugs me, love for Colin Firth and Julianne Moore would be nice.

I'm scared Natalie Portman might get nominated for "Brothers."

I haven't seen The Road, but I wouldn't be surprised if Viggo scored an Oscar nom. I'd be shocked if he won, but I think a nom is possible. He's getting good reviews for his performance. I really want to see the movie now too, even though the books terrified me in so many ways. (I still recommend it, but it's a hard book to read.)
