I watched a movie last night on Starz that was really good. It was a movie about a nice normal family , mom, dad, four daughters, and grandparents all living together. The mom and grandma start hearing voices, thumping and such. Then finally the dad starts to too so they try to get any help they can. They are trying everything (the Catholic church, the media, these demon experts) to get rid of the spirits/demons. It's very much a 70's type movie because their cars and house decorations are older styles.
What movie is this? It was something like "haunting" but IMDB doesn't have it under that name. I just wanted to know if it was based on a true story. Because if so CREEPY! the spirit even followed them camping and to their new house.

Oh yes it is ! Thanks!
The worst scene in the movie was when the father gets raped by the demon. They act pretty nonchalant about the whole thing where I would be a shivering pile of mess hiding behind the couch!

This succubus rape scene? I am a bad, bad, awful person because that scene makes me laugh out loud. The succubus looks a lot like Chris Farley in a bad, ill-fitting wig.

okay, here's one that I can't figure out. My co-worker is trying to figure out who the hot guy was who was in it.
Sci-fi flick from a few years ago. Planet might be a prison planet with sunbursts attacking it. Also, some monster breed that either eats people or sucks their souls out. The hot guy, however, is able to communicate with the creatures.
Also, the spaceship is in the shape of a man, so that when it lands it looks like a statue.
Does this bring anything to mind to anyone? He also thinks the letter "X" is involved, but it's not X-Men or XXX.
And it has a hot guy with amazing eyes.
Any help?

Is it one of those Riddick movies? The Chronicles of Riddick? Pitch Black? The description of the Spaceship made me think of Riddick.

Riddick can't communicate with the creatures in Pitch Black though can he?
He is hot in that movie and has the shine job on his eyes. Mmmm...Vin Diesel.

Was it Dune? Their eyes glow blue in that and Muad'Dib learns to control the sand creatures. There was the 1984 film version starring Kyle MacLachlan, and the Sci-Fi channel made a Dune mini-series in 2000 starring Alec Newman. It was followed by the Children of Dune mini-series in 2003.
