Hall Pass reminded me why I've generally given up on comedies. I was stuck in a Red Roof Inn with limited channels over Christmas and went ahead and paid the $5 per episode to catch up on American Horror Story rather than finish Hall Pass on HBO for free. Ugh. It made the average Married with Children episode look like Oscar Wilde or something.

I have the biggest crush on Jason Sudeikis but it took me four days to finish watching that DVD.

Hall Pass why did you have to give us the bathroom scene?

Happy feet 2
Left after 45 minutes. With a bored 4 years old. That says it all.

I remember taking the little mockeries to see Mike Myers in Cat in the Hat. As we came out, the middle one (who was four at the time) said, "Mom, that was a terrible movie!" So that one is in the running, too.

You guys, I need to know the reason why I haven't seen mention of "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" in this thread. I mean it. You guys, it handily replaces "The Room" in the throne room of Bad Moviedom. ASTONISHINGLY bad acting, writing, cinematography, editing and sound. And if you thought the title sequence -- possibly done using WordPerfect 5.1 with the Arial typeface -- hinted at bad post-production work, wait until you see the killer birds; when they're not clip art, they appear to be animated GIFs. Birdemic. BIRDEMIC!

Oh yeah. I have seen bits of Birdemic. The dude that made it is sort of sweet. He did it in earnest because he genuinely loves movies and wanted to make the movie he did. And he's happy it has made others happy, even if they are watching it because it's a train wreck of crap. Aw. I hear he's working on a sequel.

Slogged through the egregiously bad -- but not Worst!Ever! -- "Tresspass" with Kidman and Cage last night and was at least assuaged by the unintentional laughs from all the yelling and sweaty overacting you'd expect. Predictably, Cam Gigandet's sculpted physique was on full display. The only performer retaining a shred of dignity was Dash Mihok, who I could watch dancing with Alanis Morrisette for years.
The man who single-handedly destroyed the Burton Batman franchise, Joel Schumacher, was at the helm. Unsurprisingly.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn.
Sigh. Jesus fucking Christ, on a rubber fucking crutch. What is wrong with our youth? What is wrong with a too large (for my taste) portion of adult females? Between alternating between exasperated sighs, and headache inducing eyerolls, all I wanted to do was punch Stephanie Meyers in her hack face. I better not ever run into her in real life. And Bill Condon? Jesus man, you directed Dream Girls. DREAM GIRLS!!
