Van Helsing. No doubt about it.
My favorite review of that movie said that it was the best Muppet movie ever made without Muppets (just imagine the lead roles with Muppets instead of actors: "Hi ho, Kermit THE Vampire Slayer...").
ETA: Worst double feature of my life: Gigli and The Lizzie McGuire Movie. I was in a hotel, alone and bored. At least they were on a channel I didn't have to pay for.

What about the latest version of The Stepford Wives? That movie had all the makings of a great movie: funny, good and great actors, special effects, big budget, beautiful sets and costumes, Chris Walken. But it just did not add up to the sum of it's parts; it actually added down to negative numbers.
Movies like Van Helsing I'm glad I didn't waste money on seeing in the theatre but I found it at least entertaining and worth a movie rental. TSW didn't even make sense and that, to me, makes it one of the worst. movies. ever.

It just turned out to be a weird movie, and I didn't like it. After the ending I was like "uhhhhhhhh?". I can't quite put my finger on it, it was just really weird. Bette Midler's charcter was pretty funny though.

This is a totally obvious one, but my boyfriend and I were flipping channels and came across Battlefield Earth. He said he wanted to watch and see how bad it was, and I agreed because I'm usually game for watching a bad movie when there's nothing else on. But holy crap people. That movie made my head hurt. Rarely is there ever a film that I can't even get through five minutes of, but there you have it. I grabbed the remote and switched to VH1 or something relatively harmless and soothing in order to cleanse my brain.
Seriously. That was some horrible shit.

I watched the original Stepford Wives before watching the remake. Let me just say that the first one, while dated and a bit slow for this era in moviemaking, was incredibly creepy and left a lasting impression on me. I couldn't wait to see the remake. For some reason, someone thought it would be better to turn this well-known creepy movie into a black comedy. Why bother calling something a remake if you're going to change the very basic feel over into something else? Change the names and call it something else. Or even something like The Stepford Wives: A Whole New Millenium or something. This knocking out the bottom layer of bricks in a movie's pyramid to make a remake is one of the most perturbing things for me right now.
Anyway, did anyone watch the deleted scenes for the remake? Holy crap. Just think - it could have been so much worse. Better Midler's character actually *spoiler* grows lawnmower blades out of her feet and races around the yard, chopping grass and yammering about her perfect doilies or some such *spoiler*. How that's ridiculous. At least they had the good sense to cut the scene (pun intended. Heh.).

I love 70's film, except fucking Altman, and was excited about the new Stepford, even before Iknew there would be Walken. Hollywood's most notorius beard playing the lead fooled me into thinking the movie would be smarter than it was.

Oh, that was the biggest pile of crap ever. I still cannot believe I watched the entire fucking thing. I just kept waiting for it to get good. It really says something when the best moment in a film involves a Kathy Bates nude scene.

AI: Artifical Intelligence:-man. I saw this movie in the theater and the entire crowd was just dying. It felt like the longest movie on earth. When it finally got to the part where the aliens arrived, my friend just burst out with a "Oh, my god! Give me a break!" to which everyone burst out laughing. That little robot kid was so creepy, annoying and not endearing and I couldn't stand any of it. Ah, yes. How could I forget that excruciatingly long film. I wanted to smash HJO's face in with the blue fairy in the end.

Anyone else seen Dogville? It is horrible. First of all, there are no sets or locations, it was filmed on a soundstage with the town layout drawn on the floor (like when you are looking at a floorplan of house, but the whole town is drawn out that way). There are a few pieces of furniture, a door, a couple of things like that but that's it. Then for the next THREE hours you get to watch the entire town of Dogville abuse and humiliate Nicole Kidman's character. This is the kind of pretentious claptrap that gets praised as being "brave" or "innovative" or "thought provoking" but to me it just seemed like a big F.U. to anyone unlucky enough to see it.
