I really want to see The Nativity Story. Don't judge me! I know reviews have been mediocre, but from what I read, it seems like it's undeserving. I feel like the majority of bad reviews have to do with it being boring. Okay, but what did they expect? There's not a whole lot about the story even written in the Bible, and you know exactly what will happen. It looks well done, though, and I love the Nativity story, and Christmas, so...yeah, I want to see it.

There's a Christmas movie I'm trying to remember, I think from the 80s. It's something like, an elf from Santa's workshop gets lured away by an evil corporation that makes dangerous toys. There were toys stuffed with something bad, and maybe candy canes that catch fire? Does anyone remember this? Was it this? Santa ClausStarred Dudley Moore, John Lithgow and David Huddleston as Santa. According to IMDB, it's coming on the Family Channel today.

Hmmm...well, I HATE "A Christmas Story." It's annoying and totally unfunny.
As for the Xmas movies I like to watch...Santa Clause, Home Alone 1 & 2, any of those little puppet movies with Rudolph and the Snowman....you know what I'm talking about? There's one called The First White Christmas that I like. Angela Lansbury voices the nun, i think.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my absolute fav. The cartoon, not Jim Carrey's version.

I watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Rudolph" last night with my four-year-old niece. Only, I was the one who talked her into watching them with me. So much fun! She is not partial to "Frosty," so we skipped that one.

And tonight!!! The Year Without A Santa Claus - 8 PM Eastern on ABC Family! WHOOOT!!!

DVD. Not to sound like Kip Dynamite, but I love technology. Now I can watch cheesy holiday movies anytime I want.

I watched it too, it was very cute. I do have to say that I hate that annoying sound effect that they have when his nose lights up. I cracked up when they got to the Island of Misfit toys and Rudolph is told he and his friends can't stay there. The lumberjack guy (?) says that even on the Island of Misfits Toys, Rudolph and friends are still misfits. And he said it in this total, you guys are losers voice. Kinda mean (but funny) for kids' story.
