I turned to Field of Dreams (I've watched it a zillion times, but hey, I've got Iowa blood) on one of the Starz channels the other day, just before the scene where Archie becomes Dr. Graham to save Ray's daughter. When Ray realizes he can't go back... complete waterworks. Every damn time. ETA: Found it on youtube. Prepare for excessive tears and snot, and enjoy! I don't have to watch it, just reading your post made my eyes start to sting. Pretty much everything from Archie becoming Doc Graham all the way to the end of the movie is a total sobfest. And when Kevin Costner says to his dad, "Wanna have a catch?" Not enough tissues in the world for that moment.

Mock me if you must, but I just watched Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, and have been crying for the past hour. It was good. Not even one specific part made me weepy...just the whole thing in general.

The Shawshank Redemption was on TV recently. There are so many points where I lose it. When Brooks, the elderly inmate is released after 50 years in prison and can't cope, hangs himself. When Red & Andy are reunited on the beach!

Shawshank Redemption is the ultimate. One of my other very fave tear-jerkers is on right now: Stepmom. I am not kidding, I only caught the last ten minutes and yet? Sobbing.

I'm so glad that they kept Stephen King's final words at the end of Shawshank. They're one of my favorite story endings ever.

And having them said by Morgan Freeman was just perfect.

I watched Terms of Endearment for the first time in years this weekend while I was laid up with the bum leg. This movie and Vicodin are not a good combination. I was a sobbing mess before it even got to the really sad parts, and by the end I was starting to question my sanity. And it wasn't even cathartic.

Terms of Endearment is on my mental list of Permanently Banned movies. The scene where Debra Winger is saying goodbye to her son? Awful.

I recently watched Terms of Endearment for the first time since having children. I was a sobbing, gutted mess. Hoo boy.

Yeah, Terms of Endearment is a no go for me. I have seen it exactly once and that was before my Dad died when I was teenager and before I had kids. I stay far away from it.
