Off-topic: I've never seen K vs K...but that quote...I've heard it somewhere before...

Oh, right...Kevin Smith's Jersey Girl...aw man. Now I hate that movie (and KS) even more! (What can I say...Dustin is great and Ben Affleck sucks! /delirious movie snob rantings)

I keep saying this one lately with the advent of 9/11 movies, but I think it's just as true here: I hate getting force-fed "uplifting" message from Hollywood. These are the same people that tell us looks don't matter (Shrek) and money doesn't buy happiness (Any variation on the "Scrooge" story).

And considering the size of our "Celebrities" page here, I'm inclined to think they themselves don't believe it.

Word. Any movie that pays homage to recent tragedies (9-11, Hurricane Katrina, etc) then gives us a reassuring conclusion/happy ending makes me want to roll my eyes and rip my head off. War of the Worlds, and Superman being recent examples.

Brought this from way back. This is more stupid that morality, but I just watched In Time with Justin Timberlake (in rotation on HBO) and in Every. Single. Running. Sequence. (and there are a lot!!!) Amanda Seyfried and Justin are holding hands. I can hardly walk holding hands, how the hell do you RUN flat out, like that. I can see it if you are in a crowd and don't want to lose each other? But most of the time they are alone on an open empty highway. It smacks of the the "I'll save you little woman" cliche. (I remember a Shena of the Jungle movie where Shena saves the handsome male from the bad guys and lions in jungle, and when they run, he is pulling HER.)

Oh, and Amanda is literally running FOR HER LIFE! In high heels. Sheesh... Oh, and with seconds SECONDS left to get recharged before they both die, they kiss...THEY KISS!
