I really love the ending of The Shawshank Redemption. Most prison movies make me sad and I was really worried for Red a bit toward the end, but the ending was great. Makes me smile and tear up a bit at the same time.

When Harry Met Sally, Thelma & Louise, and Sixteen Candles are some of my very favorite films and have wonderful endings. Longtime Companion was so wrenching -- the ending was lovely. I also love the end of The Full Monty -- every time I watch it, I find that during the last 10 minutes of the film I can't get the smile off my face.

IMO, Shawshank Redemption is a love story between two heterosexual men. No one else seems to think that though. I keep saying "Not all love stories have to be romantic!" I agree, though, I love that ending. It's so hopeful and sweet.
In a similar vein, I love the end of Whale Rider. Well, I love the entirity of the movie, but the ending especially is so beautiful and inspiring.

I have two I can recommend:
The Grifters and Blood Simple
I am not going to try to describe them, because I can't remember the characters' names, but very good endings!

Just to be current, I loved the last line of Casino Royale. The perfect end to a damn fine movie.

Yes, Casino Royale was a great ending!
The original Insomnia -- The look on Skarsgard's face is one of my most vivid memories of that film.
To Die For - An evil punchline to a very dark comedy.
Elizabeth - Cate Blanchett's last words in the film sent chills right down my spine.
And yes, The Usual Suspects is obvious, but it's also a really fucking great ending.

This is a bit of a random one, but there's a film - I think it's Real Genius - and there's all these kids looking at a house being destroyed by gargantuan quantities of popcorn, and Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears is playing. Always makes me feel happy just thinking about it. Yes, that is Real Genius. Ahh, so many endings, so little time. Sixteen Candles for the warm fuzzy feeling (that song, BTW is "If You Were Here" by the Thompson Twins). One of my all-time favorites, and I get choked up everytime (and I have goosebumps right now) is the ending for Monsters, Inc.. Damn, just thinking about it brings a little tear to my eye. I also love the ending to Return of the King. As for recent movies, I love the ending to The DaVinci Code. I think it's just a combination of the actual movie and the wonderful score music that accompanies it, I just thought it was a powerful ending. For cheesy romance movies - The Cutting Edge. "Just remember who said it first!" And, Never Been Kissed - I think that kiss is my all-time favorite movie kiss. For the Holy Shit! moment Primal Fear. Also agreeing with the previously posted The Usual Suspects and Thelma and Louise. I could go on and on, but I'll quit there.

Oh God yeah, Monsters, Inc. I hated it the first time I watched it, but we saw it again recently and I cried my eyes out at the end. It was brilliant.
