I haven't seen the new star wars, but I just know I'm not going to be able to keep a straight face waiting for JarJar's funeral appearance!

I just remembered that I break out in hysterics during The Color Purple when Oprah comes barreling through the field and tells Whoopi "you told Harpo to beat me!!!!!" I don't know why it's so funny to me, it just is

^^ Don't forget at the end, when Whoopi finally meets her kids. I pissed my mom off when I laughed through Whoopi's son saying, 'Mo-mma! M-o-mma!'

I haven't seen Revenge of the Sith yet, and I already know that I'm going to have hysterics during the "Lord Vader ... riiiiiiise" scene. Why? One of my work friends keeps quoting that line, then another work friend noted how much his delivery sounded like the old "WHASSUP?" Budweiser ads. Now I know that I'm going to picture Palpatine on a phone, yelling "Lord Vader! WHASSSUUUP!" with his tongue hanging out, and Vader saying "Just hangin' out, havin' a Bud."

The "hot" romance between Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in the rock n' roll version of A Star is born. Totally snarkworthy, at times cringe-inducing, especially Babs and Kris in a nude scene in a candle-lined bathtub (thankfully, you don't see anything) and long stretches of Kris telling the neophyte rising star how much 'passion' and 'honesty' she has. Not to mention Streisand's overblown Harpo hair.

Hee, Shalamar! I cracked Little Duke up the other day with my take on that scene:
"Rise, Lord Vader!" "Yes, Master. Uh...Master...you're standing on my cape."

Two scenes from The Ring:
- When the mom caught her tiresome son watching the video, went into hysterics and ran in screeching to cover his eyes, I was laughing and saying, "Let him watch! Let him watch!"
- I also laughed when the main character went to pet the horse on the ship, and the poor thing flipped out and had an "Aiieee! Get thee behind me accursed Ring Woman!" moment. Though, I did feel sorry for that pretty horse and little girl who owned it.

Oh, word. I caught one of those versions in my Film Theory class and I had to stifle it when Haversham goes up. When Pip opens the door and sees it, I almost said 'Freshen your drink, Pip?' Okay, it's not funny, but it was to me. They were wishing he was in the ground as well.

Also: (in distorted slo-mo) "Share the loooad ..."
Had me rolling, I tell you.
ETA: This is also what my boyfriend often says to me when he's trying to talk me into holding the bag of puppy poopy when we take the pooch for a walk and she decides to "do her business" in the neighbor's yard. It has yet to work.

During Revenge of the Sith, the Emperor and Anakin were having a big dramatic "naming ceremony" and I was absolutely killing myself laughing. Something about the false gravitas of the scene. Of course this was after my large giggle fit when the Emperor and Samuel L. Jackson were fighting - I don't know why.... Then there was the part where Amidala said her big "This is how liberty dies with loud applause" blah blah blah - another uncontrollable giggle fit. Revenge of the Sith was a comedy right? Thank goodness I was in the theatre with about 7 other people on a Monday afternoon so my insane giggling didn't disrupt too many people.
