What are the movies that you watch constantly & never get tired of seeing? One of mine is The Wizard of Oz. I've seen it umpteen times & will always watch it every time it comes on TV. That's how much I love it.
Post about your favorite movies you watch repeatedly here.

I love Moulin Rouge! Totally innovative and genre-challenging, even for me, who HATES movies. I'm well aware that it's an "either you love it or hate it" movie, but oh, I LOVE it! I wrote elsewhere about it:
"What an amazing movie that was… from the first second, whirling and dumping you right into the middle of fin de siecle hedonism… is it 1899 or 1999? Does it matter? Moulin Rouge fucked with your mind and your emotions and the very way you WATCHED a movie. ... Moulin Rouge made me finally "get" that pure bliss is possible in postmodern pastiche! It was a brilliant commentary on musicals and musical conventions, from Gilbert & Sullivan to modern-day raves. It was hysterically funny! Was it a cartoon? Was it a parody? Was it cinematic deconstruction? Social observations? All of these? Holy shit, what a movie!"
Plus... dudes. Ewan. Singing. SO HOTTT!

Slashgirl, word on The Wizard of Oz.
Harvey with James Stewart and Josephine Hull is one of my absolute favorite movies ever.
Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson, because although I definitely have some problems with almost all of the stuff in the plot, you can just tell how much fun they were having with it, and the two of them with Tony Randall are just too awesome for words. Oh, and the actress who plays Alma, whose name I always forget, is just terrific. I actually sing along to the "Roly Poly" song, too, as embarrassing as it is to admit that.
That Touch of Mink. You guys, Doris Day as "Miss Timberlake" goes away with some dude played by Cary Grant, and when they get up to the hotel room, she breaks out in hives because that's just how pure she is. That and the "I...I've forgotten my toothbrush!" exchange are two of the funniest things ever, IMO. Audrey Meadows is awesome as Doris' more in-touch-with-reality roommate. Cameos by famous NY Yankees, too.
Clueless because Cher's dad is such a good father, Tai and Travis are perfect for each other, and the entire cast is just basically perfect. Also, I love Jane Austen and I had a caring teacher like Miss Geist in high school.
Meet me in St Louis My sister and I used to pretend to be Rose and Esther because we were the biggest dorks ever. Judy Garland singing the trolley song is one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever.
How to Marry a Millionaire Again, I have issues with the storyline, but Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe, and Lauren Bacall are just great. I find Marilyn Monroe so funny in this and The Seven Year Itch.
His Girl Friday because of the rapid-fire dialogue, Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, the poking fun at the media, and the fact that most of today's rom-coms are simply pale imitations of its storyline.
There are so many more...Roman Holiday, The Man Who Came to Dinner, the original Miracle on 34th Street, the Burt Ward-Adam West Batman movie with the giant rubber shark, The Italian Job remake, the first Tammy movie (with Leslie Nielsen as a romantic lead), and recent stuff that I can't think of right now, too.

Shawshank Redemption: I love this movie. Every time it comes on TV, I have to drop everything and watch it. A good storyline, great acting, what more can you ask for?
Clueless: My friends and I saw this movie and quoted it so much! Ahh, good times. Alicia Silverstone was just so darn adorable in this movie, and I loved her outfits.
Sleepless in Seattle: Another movie that I watch everytime it's on. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have great chemistry even though they're barely in any scenes together. I still prefer Sleepless over You've Got Mail (although I enjoyed that movie too).
Roman Holiday: I didn't really like the ending (because I'm a total romantic) but it was a realistic ending.
Pride and Prejudice: Will that fall under this topic? Regardless it's a DVD that I will watch over and over again and never get sick of. Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle have the best chemistry ever! "You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." *thud*

Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. I've loved Before Sunrise since I saw it in the cinema in London in 1995. I just love everything about these films. Richard Linklater is a goddamned genius.
I also need to see Heat at least once a year.

I never get sick of watching Arsenic and Old Lace...I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it. Even though I have it on tape, I'll watch it every time I see it playing on cable, too. Same thing with The Philadelphia Story. Cary Grant is dreamy.
I've seen Magnolia a whole bunch of times, too...I always find something new in it, and I always cry--but at different places and for different reasons every time. Awesome piece of filmmaking.
All About Eve is another one I don't get tired of--so well written. I've lost count of how many times I've seen O Brother, Where Art Thou...finally bought the DVD 'cause I was wearing out my tape. Don't know why, but it cracks me up...and I love the music, too. And I've seen Blade Runner (Director's cut, no narration!) dozens of times, too. I love the way that one looks, and also? Young Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer, yum.
Guilty "seen it over and over" pleasure: a sort of obscure Gene Kelly/Rita Hayworth musical called Cover Girl. SO much with the cheese, but I love it anyway. Gene is a hottie in that one.
There are a couple more that I've seen so many times I've lost count...but in this case, I always see them on cable. In fact, it's always the same cable channel. I'm speaking about those heavy rotation favorites A League of their Own and The Shawshank Redemption. See, I don't go out of my way to see them, and don't own them, and I've seen them so often I basically know all the dialogue, so I'm not sure why I can't change the channel when I see them...but I can't. I am TNT's bitch when it comes to those two movies! And I can't say that either one is even in my top 50 favorite movies. *sigh*

Like many people here, Clueless. Too good not to watch.
Most movies with the Not Ready for Prime Time Players are great, especially Ghostbusters, The Blues Brothers, Caddyshack, Stripes and Animal House. I think it's mostly the one-liners.
I adore everything about the South Park movie, and it's great to sing along with.
Grease is stupid, and the idea of changing yourself to please a guy does not appeal to me, but I still love it.
And while I'm about 7 years too old for Stand by Me, it still makes me cry, laugh, cheer...everything. That's all I ask.

I currently have I Heart Huckabees on heavy rotation in the DVD player. Sense and Sensibility, Harold and Maude, and any Eddie Izzard DVD make frequent appearances.

Not too much more. I wasn't at all surprised to see Shawshank listed as IMDB.com users' number 2 pick for "best film of all time" last summer.
I watch Oliver Stone's JFK about once a year. That's a brilliant film and definitely one that tangles for the top spot on my mental list of most excellent movies.
So I Married an Axe Murderer is my favorite comedy. I view it anually, on principle. It's good for the mood. Actually, I haven't had my 2005 viewing yet. No wonder I've been feeling so inexplicably blue.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes I know its very dated, but I think its Marilyn Monroe at its best.
Almost Famous I am close in age to Cameron Crowe. I used to love his Rolling Stone articles. For me, this entire movie is a love song to my teenage years.
