How about John Wayne as a Roman centurion in "The Greatest Story Ever Told"?

What? Nobody's going to mention Sean Connery in The Untouchables? I'll see your Untouchables and raise you SC as a Russian sub captain in The Hunt for Red October.

Yeah, I hated Dick Van xxxx's cockney accent, but the man was so talented in that movie otherwise, I forgave him.

I'll see both, and raise you SC speaking Japanese with a Scottish accent in Rising Sun. Craig Ferguson does it perfectly. I can't hate on DVD in Mary Poppins. It was the first movie I ever saw and I adore every second of it. Still.

How about John Wayne as a Roman centurion in "The Greatest Story Ever Told"? Curt Jurgens as a Chinese officer in Inn of the Sixth Happiness.

While my cousin and two of his sons were staying at my apartment over the weekend, the ten-year-old asked if I had any movies to watch (since I don't have cable TV). All I had at hand was a stack of classic-film DVDs that someone in my building had left out to take for free. He managed to pick out The Mark of Zorro with Tyrone Power. I was expecting him to get bored and turn it off after ten minutes, but he watched the whole thing and kind of got into it, cheering on the horse chase and filling in his brother on the details he missed while his brother was out of the room. When he went home, though, he said he'll bring some DVDs next time he comes.
