Why is there a remake of Spiderman? Seriously, can anyone explain? Sony owns the rights to Spiderman and they had to use them or lose them. If they didn't get a Spiderman movie out this year, the property would revert to Marvel and therefore Disney. There was seriously no other reason for this reboot.

The one thing that did amuse was that the director's name was Marc Webb.

So that's why. I mean Spidey 3 sucked, but not enough to warrant a total reboot of the series less than 10 years later.

That is why we are also getting Daredevil and Fantastic Four reboots. Although both of those sucked so the remakes could actually be better.

Ooh I am totally down for a F4 reboot. I thought the original casting was great with the exception of Jessica Alba. Ioan Gruffudd always looked a bit too old for her, but I imagine they'll probably go with a pretty young blonde thing this time too.

Well, "Red Dawn" remake now has its trailer out. What's weird (and sad) is how they originally used Chinese cast for the roles of the 'insurgents' but due to China not willing to release the film and other political issues (like the US owing so much $$ to China?), they decided to digitally change text to North Korean language and figured that the Chinese cast was interchangeable to represent Koreans? Classy! I'm not going to bother seeing this because I never can support 80s remakes that really should never be made, but I'm sure this will find some niche to the American audience and do well.

You know, because it's not like North Korea and China are different countries and all... The trailer seemed dull to me, and they're not nearly as much fun as Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, and that other guy...Wolverines!

I loved Red Dawn. I cried when the brothers died. When I heard they were remaking this, I rolled my eyes and wrote this off. Seeing that trailer, OMG, I was right. It looks like crap. This movie should never have seen the light of day, but because Chris H has taken off big time, let's roll this into the theater to make some $. Ugh. No thanks! I'll stick to the original.

...they decided to digitally change text to North Korean language and figured that the Chinese cast was interchangeable to represent Koreans? Classy! Ha, the main enemy dude is actually Korean (Will Yun Lee) so he's just been reverted back to his real ethnicity.
