An updated Mr. Mom would be a really interesting proposal. The original is definitely dated, but the question at the core of the movie is still askable.

Allegedly, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will star in (yet another) remake of A Star Is Born. I'm actually kind of stoked on it. I love him, and she can sang.

Just announced: a remake of Clue. This will probably be the gritty, neo-realistic version the original was just craving for, I'm sure. Sigh.

Will the new Clue have Mrs. White or the new character, Dr. Orchid?

The only thing I could think that would be interesting or novel about Clue would be using the basic template of the original movie. Made in the 80s, set in the 50s. So, if this one were made in the 2010s, it should be set in the 1980s. But that's not fun or interesting.

Is anyone going to watch the sure-to-be-awful Dirty Dancing remake tonight? I'm going to have to DVR it because the Survivor finale is also on, but I'm going to have to watch this atrocity at some point.

Not exactly a remake, but the Top Gun sequel is literally the dumbest idea I've seen come out of Hollywood. With the possible exception of the fourth Indiana Jones movie. Supposedly, Val Kilmer is going to be in it? Isn't he seriously ill?

I just tried to watch the Masterpiece version of Little Women and couldn't get through the first episode. Why can no one make a decent adaptation of this book? Seriously, Hollywood, Katherine Hepburn and Joan Bennett was the best you could do?
That version wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. Not the fault of the cast. Bennett made Amy spoiled but still likable; Hepburn was the only Jo who could say "Christopher Columbus!" even remotely believably.
True confession: I keep a DVD of the Susan Dey version. I'm a loyal Trekkie, but The Shat as Professor Bhaer will never not be funny.
