Yeah and instead of having a French guy playing the highlander, why not actually have someone who is actually Scottish? I always thought that was funny, being a scot myself. This is off topic but I cringe at Mike Myers attempt at the accent and Gerard Butler is beginning to gain an American twang to his and it sounds weird coming from a guy from Paisley  Oh yeah and Sean Connery was cast as an Egyptian Spanish guy but has a genuine Scottish accent, what were they thinking when they cast this film? I do love the Kurgan though. Please excuse the waffle I mostly lurk here. |

Okay, I have to admit I only saw this movie because of the soundtrack. I also am a little obsessed with that band (and with Freddie Mercury, which, duh).

Am I the only ones who loves remakes? Remakes mean the originals get decent DVD releases, and with some luck, a few more from the original director/stars.
The Seven Samurai remake is written by the guy behind Young Guns. It's starting to make sense! I predict Channing Tatum as Kambei Shimada, Ed Westwick as Kikuchiyo, Michael Cera as Katsushirô and Rebecca Hall as Shino.
