Yes, they were both 19. Can't say I know very many unmarried 19-year-old boys who do want to be fathers.

If it's a woman's choice, then it's a woman's choice. PAB certainly didn't force her, and it doesn't seem that he put any undue pressure on her either. They sat down and discussed it, according to the memoir, and he thought they were too young. I agree with him. But either way, she made the choice.

“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

It was up to her alone. I sympathize with Britney feeling regret over such a decision, but I have a feeling this is going to be the first of many stories in which she acts like she was helpless and at the mercy of those around her way more than she was (at least prior to the conservatorship).

Side note: in the brief excerpt I read, she used the word "vacillate". I don't think that word is part of her lexicon. The ghost writing is going to be really obvious with this one.

Interestingly, Britney isn't narrating the audio book. Michelle Williams is. I can't remember the last celebrity autobiography that wasn't narrated by the celebrity. I wonder if Britney tried and was so bad at it that the publisher opted for a professional.

I'm not angry at Britney, this was a difficult decision and neither her nor PAB were prepared to be parents.

I think they made the right choice. There was no way that either of them were in any position to be parents. I'm sure that their own parents had a say in things, too. Knowing Brit's parents, they had a lot of control of her life then and for many years after. It would have impacted their careers and a lot of their PR was based on their 'purity' and innocence. It's crazy, but that was the way it was.

I’m guessing Timberlake thanks god every day he didn’t have a child with her.

I kinda feel sorry for PAB - I’m sure the crazies are going to go after him and blame him for the loss of the second coming of Christ.

We should start a drinking game on how many times she blames her life choices on others.

I think this is pretty much non-news. Both were young and likely going at it like bunnies. I doubt Brit ever had any guidance about contraception. Her mother doesn't seem like the sort to tell her.

Some of them are acting like he personally ripped a baby from her uterus and murdered it. They are also saying he forced/pressured/pushed her, even though she doesn't say he did.

Anyways, People didn't actually interview Britney, they sent her questions through email. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but the writing styles of Britney's answers is clearly not her. She does not write like that in her social media accounts. And she didn't do a photo shoot. Just sent some pictures and videos.

Another thing. I don't believe for one second she's in contact with her kids. The last 10 times she mentioned them, she was talking shit about them. That's a blatant lie.

If Britney did write her own answers, I'm sure People had to edit them substantially for coherence.

The photo used for the cover of the book is clearly from an old photo shoot. She also used an old photo for the single she released a few months ago. I would say for most people that would probably be due to vanity and not wanting to accept aging, but she looks great and seems to be happy with how she looks on social media. Is it because she can't be bothered to leave the house and do a real photo shoot?

This explains some of the Jamie Lynn resentment for me. JL also got pregnant at a young age, but kept the baby, married the father and quit showbiz, didn't she?

But she does say he didn't want to be a father - implying that he's the reason she didn't have the baby.

I do think it's vanity. Britney photoshops/filters her pictures and videos to the point that her tattoos disappear, on some her arm looks strange, and fingers are in weird positions. There are pap pics out there where she definitely looks rough. More weight, and looks like a 41 year old who has smoked most of their life and done drugs. She doesn't look horrible, she looks her age. And I don't think Brit can handle that.

That's a really good point. That probably was the source of a lot of their issues.
