I have a nephew who has to credit any limited success he has had in life to his striking resemblance to Eminem. (The ladies like him.) Because nevvy is a punk, this has created in me a strong urge to slap Eminem on "general principles." He looks like a punk, too.

If anyone here is interested in meeting my nevvy because of this resemblance, I will let you know when he gets out of jail. And after I am done slapping him.

I was reading the thread from the beginning and wow, the turnaround of opinion is amazing. Of course the thread started in 2005 when Marshall was punching puppets, getting bloated, and remarrying Kim. He's shaped up.

He might have gotten a little bit of a sense of humor about himself. Or maybe I just want to say that I find his expression and body language at around 0:40 in this video hilarious. His ability to not smile no matter what makes him a good straight man- so to speak.

He also maybe made fun of himself in Funny People. The bloopers are pretty good too.

Bit late to the party, but I LOVED his Grammy performance. The intensity and the rapid fire of his raps are just awesome. I still think, when he's on, he's the best at what he does.

Thanks for linking to those bloopers and appearances. That was really funny to see. I don't think I've ever heard him laugh before. In those bloopers, those were big belly laughs. Haha. I did not expect that.

This LINK was posted in the Lady Gaga thread because of the stupid, outdated "diss" of her, among others. He makes it impossible to admire or like him when he does juvenile stuff like this.

Eminem likes to rap about his demons, but I think he's painfully unaware of his biggest demon of all - the desperate need to be culturally relevant. It's sad and pathetic and he needs to grow up and get over it. He's too old for this petty dumb shit.

That is correct as far as I know. Kim got pregnant by another man on one of their many breaks and Em is raising her.

Yep and as big of a prick as I think he can be, I can't hate him. I believe he also took care of his little brother when he was still underage. When it comes to the children in his life he really seems to have stepped up.

I do wonder how he explains some of his songs to them.

He's beyond lame with his Lady Gaga diss. He also disses the Biebs. Seriously, can't he for once actually start a beef with you know, a fellow MC? At least go after a lightweight like Lil Wayne or Drake? Wait, he's worked with them already. He inspires nothing but eyerolls from me.
