Aly's mouth distracts me from her scenery-chewing most of the time. I've been ready for her to go for a long time. If Gemma shoots her, I won't mind.
I liked having Hale around too. Killing him was a bad writing choice IMO. They could have kept him around and had him & Unser discover what his brother was up to. And...he was a good friend to Tara.

The actor who played Hale wanted off the show. So, they kinda had no choice but to kill him off. It's shame because yes Hale was an interesting character. He overall was against SAMCRO but definitely had moments where it is obvious he thought that perhaps they aren't so bad on the grand scale of things.
Gemma is freaking nuts. Period. Granted those nuns aren't your typical nuns (unless nuns normally run black market baby operations and support the IRA) so I get the typical methods of persuasion probably would not work. But can't we at least try the usual methods before we go to extremes? Oh well, at least Abel is finally back with his family so that means we won't have to hear "Where's my kid?!" every two seconds from Jax (seriously that was getting as annoying as Michael's "WWWWAAAAALLLLLTTTT!" in Lost).
Ok, I'm probably in the minority but I really hope Tara doesn't lose the baby. I don't want to deal with sad and depressed Jax and Tara again next season. Yeah, the actors really bring it during those scenes but man it gets old fast. Also, I really hope Tara doesn't take Jax back immediately. I know she will eventually but make the guy grovel! He's been a world class douche to her all season.

When Abel got kidnapped last season the first thing I thought of was WWAAALLTT!! Which was also one of my least favorite Lost plots. I guess it is hard to play a dad whose son is kidnapped who you don't want to tell to shut up all the time.
That is interesting that the actor who played Hale wanted off the show, so did Half Sack. And Charlie Hunnam said some critical things about the show earlier, makes you wonder if there is something going on there.
I am sick of Agent Stahl too. Sadly she is married to one of the producers so I don't think she is going anywhere. I read somewhere that supposedly the reason her face was so weird last season was she had major dental surgery. She does look a little less freaky this season but I don't buy that story. I think it is more of a case of the plastic surgery settling.

Well, I've read that it's a really masculine set (whatever that means). Maybe some of the actors are a little too method. And at least one of them, Happy, is a (former?) Hell's Angel.

Dental work, my ass. Her lips were huge. She looks like Lisa Rinna with her deflated third lip.

Line of the night-- Juice: "I'm a Puerto Rican from Queens! I speak better Yiddish!" Gemma's "She catches cum in her mouth for a living and I'm sensing this a problem!" is a close second. Though suggesting Opie marry Lyla? Really Gemma?
For the record, I've got nothing against Lyla being a porn star. Opie kills people. In my view Lyla has the higher moral ground. She even seems to have some brains since she slapped Ima which makes me think she's hedging her bets on Jax and Tara working things out (she was right!). But she's boring. Opie is boring with her. I don't want these two hanging out much less get married. Plus, how much you want bet Donna owned that ring?
So much for my hope of Jax groveling. Still, I guess I should have seen Tara and Jax making up. I just hate it seemed to be more because of the baby. I do think Jax sincerely loves Tara and vice versa. I would have a preferred a reconciliation because Jax ultimately proved that love. The sonogram scene was cute as was the scene where Tara held Abel.
Still trying to figure out how Margaret went from wanting Tara fired to being her BFF.
Stahl... man that was cold! Still don't like her and it's not in a love to hate sort of way. It's a flat out hate. The show tries to set her up as some sort of Gemma like character and she fails miserably (even though pulls off stunts like she did tonight). I think it's because Gemma really is confident in her abilities and can generally pull off her schemes. Stahl overestimates her abilities. She looks pathetic in comparison.

I've been down on this season, haven't enjoyed it as much as the previous two but that finale was pretty cool. I was riveted to my seat the entire time. I totally did not see the triple crossing of Stahl at all and that the club was in on it. It took them 400 years to get Abel back so I guess I wasn't seeing them as criminal masterminds. Either way I LOVED seeing Chibs and Opie get their revenge. But could Stahl have died with less dignity? I guess she's not the BAMF she thought she was with faced with the consequences of her actions. Jimmy O took it without bawling.
I'm excited to see what happens next season after Jax finds out mommy dearest offed daddy. Although, from the letters and general tone we've heard of John Teller I might have offed him as well just to get him to shut up. Your pain is not that special JT, your wife also lost a kid. Also, playing house with a teenager while your wife deals with a critically ill child alone? Totally grounds for murder IMO!
I was also surprised that Unser made it out alive, I thought for sure he would die.
Tara sure looked terrified at the end.
And fingers crossed that Kozik returns next season!!

I think I read online that Unser will definitely be back, but I'm not sure in what capacity. I wish he hadn't left his badge at the office; how's he gonna argue his case when he'd more or less walked off the job?
Chibs had the best revenge (although I shuddered when he cut Jimmy's face--the actor was cut in a fight years back and it made me wonder if he was cut the same way).
The two prospects were delightfully goofy and respectful. Hope at least one of them comes back, the club will need new blood with half of them in prison.
I couldn't be happier to be done with Stahl. She was a lunatic.

Way to prove me wrong show! I thought they were never going to get rid of Stahl. I liked the contrast between her and Jimmy's death. He barely flinched when Chibs slashed him, her bawling like a baby in the car with Opie.
I thought the finale was good and redeemed the show somewhat from an uneven season but I did think it was a bit of a cheat to have the whole thing with Jax be something the whole club was in on. Its like they put him in an impossible situation all season then hey it was just a dream, I mean a con.
This was like the opposite of season 2 which was a great season with a not good finale. This season was kind of ridiculous but then had a solid finale. I like the setup for season 4 where it looks like they will be returning to the conflict between Jax and Gemma and Clay.

I'm not convinced the club knew all along, but Jax filled them in at some point. As someone mentioned upthread, this was all pretty elaborate for a club who'd just been seriously bumbling as samcro had been for a while...but I guess Ireland raised the stakes for them all.
I'm wondering where they're going with the John Teller stuff. Will Jax learn about it in prison? His relationship with Clay can be uneven so I don't even know if this would even surprise him. Maybe Gemma being in on it...
