Pretty much. "I'm sorry if my behavior was perceived as mean" is essentially code for: "I'm sorry you all are just being overly sensitive."

. . . Not going to lie though, but with the state of the United States right now and the fact that we seem to be on the brink of an apocalypse, finding out that Lea Michele was the Real Life Regina George of the Glee Cast has been a welcome distraction/break from the current news cycle.

So the best defenses anyone can come up with for Lea are "she was an asshole to everyone" and "everyone else was an asshole too". Basically drilling through the earth's crust to find somewhere to set the bar low enough. The defense is as damning as the original complaint!

Unfortunately, nothing terribly juicy that I can recall. Just that his ambition vastly outstrips his talent, and that back in the day he was a cad towards his ex-fiancee, but that's very vintage gossip at this point. (In fact, his ex-fiancee accused him of cheating on her with Lea Michele. Morrison denied up an down that he ever had anything romantic with Lea, and then Lea later confirmed that they dated, so....)

I always felt that Ryan Murphy shows tend to be a tad...problematic when it comes to their racial politics. There is something about him...I can't put my finger on it yet, that pings my "racist-prick-that-makes-everyone-think-he-is-not-a-racist-prick" radar. It doesn't surprise me that Lea is being exposed as unpleasant to work with, entitled, and racist.

Irina played her momma on Glee (IIRC), so that tracks. Instead of "budget," I'd personally go with "dime store." Dollar General, if you will.
