I knew he was not long for this world (show?) once they let us know that they were planning on running off together. Martyr Margaret is not to have happiness in any way. (I can't stand Mrs Schroeder and her whining ways.) I will miss Owen though.

I thought they might string out his story a bit - maybe by not running off with Margaret after all or something? Anyway, I like Margaret so I felt sorry for her, especially now that she is preggo. I'm guessing she'll go to her doctor friend to try to get an abortion.

Also, I was wondering if now that Owen is dead will the Tin Man will shift over from working for Gillian to being Nucky's muscle? He'd have to leave the kid but you'd think it would be better than working for horrible Gillian!

I'd like to see Gillian get pissed about Richard spending time with whats-her-name, fire him, and him go work for Nucky. He damn sure could use him and it'd be a better use of his skills than working as a bouncer at a brothel.

OK, his death was offscreen right? He showed up for that meeting and they set him up, beat him to death? I got distracted a few times... I was really surprised they killed him off. I thought the runaway plot would follow through for a few more weeks.

Yes, he was killed off screen in the bathhouse. The killers were setting it up just before he walked in telling the clerk not to let anyone else in. Nucky's plans had been sold out to Mazzeria (sp?).

Oh, and the scene with the guy in the sand and Gyp Rosetti had me covering my eyes.

Nucky has whistleblowers in his operation. He's gotten burned repeatedly by people selling out his plans. However, he has two significant secret weapons, if he's smart enough to recognize them: Harrow and Chalky. No one in the extended mobs really knows about Harrow. He's always committed his hits alone. I'm not sure that even Gillian knows he's an assassin. Chalky and his gang are completely off the radar. No one in Maseria's, Capone's, Luciano's, or Rothstein's mobs will see him as a threat. I predict that Nucky pays off Harrow with freedom from Gillian (kills Gillian and sets up Harrow with the girlfriend and Jimmy's son as the little family unit he's always dreamed of?) and gives Chalky the nightclub he wants, all in exchange for getting rid of his enemies.

That scene with the shovel on the beach was just brutal. The sound effects were chilling. I found it hard to believe that Rossetti's gangster didn't warn his cousin to keep his mouth shut, especially after the first incident.

Finally! Finally some plot development on this show, with various story threads coming together! Too bad it took them 2 1/2 seasons to get here.

I refuse to believe they'd kill off Harrow. Sure, kill Jimmy. The character was boring and the actor was worse. Harrow is the perfect mix of heart and menace, something I think they were trying for with Jimmy but failed and Huston is acting (half) his face off. That tiny smile he gave when the sand fell through his fingers was delightful. And the MFer has GUNS. So many guns.

Good episode. Man, I hate Gillian; seeing her unhappiness at Gyp taking over the Artemis Club made me root for Gyp just a little bit.

I wanna know what happened to Margaret!
