Netflix IW isn't on the Droid. Bummer. I was afraid of that. Android-lovers are people too! We need these apps!

Lest you Android folks feel totally left out, let me point you to an app that only you can have. Simplify Media.
Well, at least, that's what it was called on the iPhone, when I became wholly addicted to it.
Check it out: You install it on your phone, and an accompanying app on your computer, and like magic, you can strean your entire iTunes library from your computer to your phone USING THE PHONE NETWORK. Not WiFi. And it was FREE.
I actually bought a used Mac just to run iTunes on, and had (have) 500 GB of tunes on it. And while I was driving cross-country for a show, I could listen to anything I wanted, as long as I had phone service. It was wonderfull.
Then, back in February, they sold out to Google, and it no longer works on iPhone. Google bought it for Android people. Y'all should check it out.
My big apps currenly are CraigsPro (Craigslist browser), an audio spectrum analyzer app that I use during soundcheck with the show, Massive Dev Chart (a darkroom app that sets a timer for film development that you set up with any film/chemical/temperature combo you can think of, and dings when you need to shake the tank), and Wolfgang's Vault )an app that allows you to stream concert recordings from the extensive archives of the legenday Fillmore East and Fillmore West as well as other places that Bill Graham Productions did shows).

The ProBoards app is useless to me since it doesn't take you to the first unread post like the "NEW" button does online -- you just automatically go to the first post of the last page. I hope they fix this since it works really well otherwise. My favourite app by far is Lose It, the best of all the calorie counting apps out there IMO. I've lost 30-ish pounds this year using it to log my food. Plus it's free! I just started using Lose It!, too! It's making me realize just how much my random snacking adds up. I can't find the Greecie boards on the ProBoards app.

Netflix just launched on iPhone really recently, so hopefully they are working on Android! How could I forget Skee-Ball? It's awesome.

Angry Birds - did not get the hype at first, but I've def gotten into it. I hate the white birds! Don't be hating the white birds! If you learn how to use them right, they're pretty badass. They've got 3 separate kinds of attacks: 1) laying an egg from above 2) shooting up at an angle after they lay their egg. In a few levels I shoot them very low at a wall, then lay the egg just before they hit. Double the bang for your buck 3) Simply use their body to attack, like red birds. So hey, what have I got on my phone? Things is a great To-Do app. HomeBudget lets me keep track of my budget and expenses SaiSuke is a terrific calendaring app, synching with Google Calendars Evernote is an equally awesome note-taking app, synching with an online server iFitness for my workouts RunKeeper for my cardio Wordpress has an iPhone client, which lets you manage comments, pages and posts (but not anything else, like theming) iCanHasCheezburger for my daily dose of lols Star Walk is awesome even on an iPhone For games, I've got Angry Birds, Rolando and Rolando 2. The last two are... well, just look them up. They're hilarious and awesome

So I got my iPhone last week and already have a favorite fun app: Sporkle, a trivia game. My husband is strictly a Droid fann, but he fricking loves that game. I came to bed last night and he was huddled under the covers, clutching my iPhone and obsessively playing that game.
Does anybody have a recommendation for a good iPhone navigation app? The Maps app seems OK but doesn't (as far as I can tell, unless I'm using it wrong) offer voice turn-by-turn instructions, so I downloaded the MapQuest app. It seems like it works OK and does offer voice navigation, but it's not as slick in terms of design as the GPS/Navigation app on my Droid. Anybody have a good one that they use?
I'm thinking of just switching over to the iPhone. It was issued by my new employer, but I'm able to use if for personal calls too, and I dislike carrying two phones around all the time. I'm torn, though, because I love my Droid so much.

I lurve my iPhone. The apps I use most are Proboards, Facebook, Tapatalk, Bejeweled2. Those are all pretty standard-issue stuff. I also use the Google Calendar app for tracking when ratscabies will be out of town. In other app news... check out this app. The whole idea of the app was mine. I even did the storyboards for it before it went into production. Now I didn't actually do any of the programming - I don't do that, but I came up with the basic idea behind how it works. So do me a favor and download it (it's FREE!), play with it, and give it a good review! Please!

I just added the calorie counter app by My Fitness Pal. It is awesome. I've been really getting lazy about my eating habits and I think this will hold me accountable ... before my pants get any tighter.

I just downloaded Spider: The secret of Bryce Manor. Great game! You spin webs to trap other bugs. It has usurped Angry Birds for the moment (until they put up new challenges....). I like Whirly Word, but I get frustrated and want to chuck the iPhone! I guess I'm just pedestrian enough to stick with my good old Crosswords before beddie bye.
