bklynred - it's basically Netflix Instant for music, with a brilliant social networking/mobile app component built-in - you can send songs directly to friends, publish playlists that FB friends can view, etc. I decided to opt for the Spotify Premium for $10 a month - which disables ads and enables syncing with the Iphone app and offline listening - but, ideally, that means I'm not spending that money on Itunes or at the record store. Not every song is available everywhere and sometimes certain tracks will be left off albums, but it's amazing to be able to be able to call up virtually any song whenever or wherever I am.
Like, say I'm at the gym and want to start working out to Underworld. Or am reading an album review and want to start checking out the artist. Spotify makes it all possible, legally.

I want to develop an app, because I want to design one that I like. Trouble is I am having trouble finding someone who can develop it.

I had someone from elance do one for me. They weren't great on design but they can do functionality. I know they've been getting very busy as there is a scarcity of app developers. I would recommend getting a designer to do the look/feel of it and then finding someone on elance. PM me if you want to know who I used and anything about elance in general.

HATING the ProBoards app these days, and it's SO GOOD when it's working! Seriously, I need to click "refresh" a dozen times just to get each topic loaded.

Mine will still just crash randomly, not as often since the last couple bug fixes but still.

Mine used to crash but now loads perfectly and displays the topic lists faultlessly. But click on a topic and then I hafta click on this and reload a dozen times. I've given up and use mobile Safari, as painfully slow (in comparison to the app) as it is. ETA: after a bit of digging, it appears a lot of people are bitching to ProBoards about this very problem on a number of fora. 20110902.1200: All fixed. I'm back to loving the ProBoards app.

Does anyone use Scrivener? When it comes to writing, I'm a tourist at best, but I have this itch and I'm wondering if it's worth the $$

I've heard good things in my writing group about it. I find it just as easy to use MS Word to keep track of stuff, though.

I got a deal on Scrivener through AppSumo or MightyDeals and used it for NaNoWriMo. And I think you remember how well I did with that.... I feel like it *could* help, as it has a lot of tools and functionality, but it doesn't actually WRITE for you, so that kind of sucks.

Can anyone recommend a customizable accountability app? Or, barring that, an app or website that helps track things like billable hours? I'm not actually freelancing or billing anyone, but I am trying to track how many hours I spend on a class I teach online for my own purposes.
