I'm also still wondering if I would automatically assume running off to the desert, just because of some weird video, if I didn't know the Zombie Apocalypse was upon us. But then, I usually do poorly on all those Apocalypse quizzes, so it's probably a "moo" point. Wasn't it more than that, though? Between the riots the shooting video set off and them witnessing Zombie Drug Dealer reanimate, they figured they needed to get away from the city at the very least. Also, after last night I'm expecting Zombie Boyfriend to come to Alicia's house looking for a snack. I'm really liking Frank Dillane as Nick. There's something very compelling about his portrayal that makes me want to root for him. I did notice his American accent slipped a couple times last night, though. /picky Oh, and it took me a bit to remember where I knew Liza from. She's Alieda on OITNB.

The boyfriend will be coming back, and the ex wife will be gone soon me thinks.

I thought there were immune people who didn't necessarily turn? Or did I make that up? The CDC eps are fuzzy for me, I only watched them once.

Oh man, no idea how this happened, but I got all verklempt watching Maddie and Travis say goodbye. I really like the actress, there was this sense of despair and dread about her, sensing that the world is about to end but not knowing why.

Yeah I remember everyone is infected.
Out of the main characters I just want Travis and Nick to survive. Maddison has the same expression no matter what and is plain irritating. Liza can go too.

For me, it was a bit poignant at the end, when Matt's house is shown, his parents have arrived home in a hurry because they know their son is very sick, the luggage never made it inside and the trunk is open.

I'm good with a slow build up on FWD. I like the characters and I'm curious to see how they'll get out of LA. I kept thinking that I'd seen Travis in Once Were Warriors (a fantastic New Zealand movie) and it is him! I like him and I like his character. I'd be happy to cap this story line when it's done after the 6 eps of Season 1 and 15 eps of Season 2 and then move on to different characters. There are so many different stories to tell. It's a rich universe. I am really curious about the plane episode that'll air during the WD.

I watched the pilot for the hell of it on demand, and I'm actually hooked.
Glad I'm not the only one to see River Phoenix a bit in the addict's character (not because he's an addict but because he looks a bit like him, nowhere near as beautiful though). And I like the fact that the mom is a 50 year old woman. I just like breakdown of society stories. They're always interesting to me. I can see how some sad it was slow though.
Wait, how is everyone infected? I didn't make it past the farmhouse on TWD. Is that the idea on TWD? I thought this was just a zombie virus that affects people who have been bitten. Please explain.
