He always seemed to be the nicest one of the original Trek. He never seemed to take it all so seriously (glancing at Nimoy and Shatner). ...Raises a glass of Scotch...

I liked how he didn't take it seriously but also rode with it. Yeah, it's a bitch to be stereotyped, but how many actors out there really have the chance to have a memorable character that remains profitable for over thirty years? His dentist was right: he'll be remembered for Scotty forever and this will have the effect of drawing people into his other performances.
