This show is my guily pleasure. It's ridiculous but I can't get enough. I'm sure the reveal will be a big letdown but I'm enjoying coming up with reasons for everyone to be A. Also I covet the hair and clothes.

Okay, I know I'm not the only one watching! What do you guys think of Mona trashing Hanna's letter? And creepy Ian? Did he kill Ali?
And I laughed and laughed when the cop showed up at Ezra's apartment. I hope he gets SO busted.

Mona trashing the letter was her misguided attempt at being a good friend. I wonder what the purpose of Mona is at all sometimes. Ian is too obvious so I doubt he's the killer. Giving Spencer the creepy serial killer stare for a good 2 seconds and then turning around and calling out to her family was pretty entertaining, though. The killer is most likely a male since there seems to be a sexual aspect, but since Paige is a lesbian there's a chance she might have something to do with it.
According to the promo for next week we the viewers are supposed to forget about what we think we know. Does that mean nothing will make sense and we are supposed to bend over and take it!? I think it might, but I don't care because the mystery has become secondary to the characters and their relationships, etc. I hope this show keeps going and follows these characters through high school after the mystery about Ali is solved.

There's no way Ezra's NOT getting busted, until this policeman decides there is something worth blackmailing him for, like a lameass poem.

Maybe Mona's A!
I think that Ian is a red herring, to be honest. The guy's shady but the show is making him seem like SUCH the obvious choice, that I'm convinced it's all just one huge misdirection.

Whoa that was good. I need a better summary of the book series than what is on Wikipedia though, I want to see how different the two are.

I started reading the books after I heard about the show and just finished the series about a month ago. The show differs a bit -- additional characters, plot lines. Tonight's episode looks like it's picking back up with one of the books' angles. Wikipedia was the best summary I found so I'd recommend just reading the books, if you can stand the brand name dropping. ("Hanna sat at the table looking fabulous in her Burberry coat and Jimmy Choo shoes while sipping chai tea.")
Between this and Harry Potter, June can't come fast enough!

Spencer's sister Melissa played some crazy lady in One Tree Hill and so I always see her as that same nutjob...
Ugh I feel weird now that I think about how she was on that show, how Ian used to be little Jared on The Pretender, Aria's BABYSITTER being on Veronica Mars, etc.
Anyway I thought that was a good wrap-up to the season while keeping the suspense alive for the next. I wasn't sure how they were going to pull it off!

Toby/Spencer make me swoon like no one's business. They are adorable!
Melissa/Ian are one creepy ass couple. Is Ian dead? Is he alive? He didn't kill Alison though, he said he pushed her and Spencer told him Ali died of asphyxiation. The plot thickens.
Jenna and the cop made my jaw drop! I did NOT see that coming.
I can't even with Aria/Ezra. Yuck! Aria, Noel likes you and he is 100000000 times hotter than Ezra!

I'm going with the TWOP consensus - Ian believes that Melissa killed Ali, which would explain his saying, "I'm doing this for her!" And that the whole "Ian didn't show up! Can you give me a ride?" could have been all a ruse to lure Spencer to the church, although, if true, the way Ian and Melissa went about doing it was way convoluted - why drive away and then return? (I assume the accident wasn't planned.) Why the histrionics from Melissa in the car, where she was freaking out about the cell phone? Is she supposed to be that good an actor?
