I'll never watch a Borat movie again after I made the mistake of watching #2 with my parents and it included explicit footage of a real-life orgy, as well as nonstop penis jokes.* I have mild panic attack symptoms just thinking about it.
*Or maybe it was Bruno? I don't care, they are all basically the same movie and I'm not watching any of them anymore.

I'm halfway through Rebecca. It's ok imo, definitely watchable, but I watched the original so long ago that I don't remember it well enough to make comparisons. I agree, the best part is Lily James' wardrobe. Also the gorgeous scenery.

My brother has been wanting to watch Due Date for a while, and we can't find it free on Roku. I finally got a DVD copy from the library and we watched it. I knew nothing about it going in, I thought it was going to be like Knocked Up, not a drug fueled version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I liked it, it's very funny, I just had no idea what it was about. I know this is from the dog days of summer, but is that with Robert Downey Jr? I enjoyed it. Zach Galifinakas sure can play the annoying sidekick. We watched Downhill with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Farrell. Great comedy actors, but not a comedy. It had some funny moments, but oy, the issue was painful to watch play out. I've never seen the original Rebecca. I love Lily James, so I might watch the new version since I have no expectations.

Mugsy, yes Robert Downey Jr. and Zach G. Both were very good, very funny. The original Rebecca is worth a watch, I think. I'd be interested in seeing what they've done with the remake.

I pooled my high school graduation gift money to buy my first VCR in 1984. The first video we rented was Caligula. Me, my buddy, and my dad, all in awkward, uncomfortable silence during the orgy scene. Until my genius dad, during an extreme close up of 1976 Penthouse Pet of the Year, Jane Hargrave, nibbling a gargantuan appendage, blurts out, “You suppose that’s attached to anything?”

Last night we watched Clue (via Prime) for the first time. It was great! And now I finally know how to properly emphasize/intonate the "flames, flames on the side of my face" bit, I have been saying it wrong in my head all this time.

Watching Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, Sean Connery is wonderful as Indy’s Father.
Forgotten what a ride the Indiana Jones films are tho I can’t believe there is one announced for 2022!

I finally got around to The Old Guard and really enjoyed it. I was so impressed that even though the premise of the movie is that the main characters are immortal, the story still felt like it had stakes.
My only “complaint” is that it felt like the set up for an even more kick-ass sequel (which they clearly hinted at in the end). With that said it’s a sequel I am totally here for. I need a Joe and Nicky spin-off at the very least.

Runaway Bride, on Netflix. It really hasn't aged well, imo.
