It kind of reminds me of when Royal Caribbean used Iggy Pop's Lust for Life in one of their commercials years ago. It was a song about drug addiction that was featured prominently in a movie about drug addiction, there was no way they didn't know that. It was mind-boggling. But...but...if you're on a cruise you have a lust for life!! Or you know the norovirus. Or falling overboard. I may listen to too much true-crime podcasts, and side-eye cruises. |

Sort of like when Nathaniel Rateliff's song " S.O.B." - which is a song about an alcoholic jonesing for a drink - ended up in an iced tea commercial. Applies if they are long island iced teas, I guess. But...but...if you're on a cruise you have a lust for life!! Or you know the norovirus. Or falling overboard. I may listen to too much true-crime podcasts, and side-eye cruises. Being stuck on a cruise ship sounds like a nightmare to me (except for maybe those river cruise things they always advertise on PBS. Those look nice and close to land). And they always make me think of Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaids talking about falling overboard - "Hit a lot of railings, broke a lot of shit." |

I just saw a commercial for Starkist tuna with Candace Cameron Bure where she is at a red carpet event and is “starving”. She pulls out her Starkist tuna pouch and is snacking at her seat. Because NO ONE is going to smell that tuna! 😆

I like the one with the dad singing along, loud and off-key but happy. It gets me--that's me when the spin instructor plays my jams (but I don't sing along). But I will never buy a Peloton.
