I finally actually watched, instead of only listening, to the commercial with Shirley Temple singing. It's for Target! I'm finding the remixed melody fun and annoying.

I really hate the Dodge truck commercial with the guy camping out in the woods who gets up and shoots the noisy creature that was keeping him awake. How sportsmanlike. Ass. Me, too! Every time I see it I can't help but think that a true outdoorsman wouldn't care about the noise at all.

This commercial, where the girl is about to sneak out of her bedroom window when her father opens her door, never fails to make me laugh. The first several times I saw it on TV, I was so mesmerized by the dancing that I didn't realize what the commercial's message was. The dancer reminds me of Seth Rogan, which I think is why I find the ad funny.

I'm currently hating the Stayfree maxi pad commercial where a young woman sees a mural on the street and she and a bunch of other women paint it over, all to protest blandness (see, plain white pads are bland and women need... loud pads?). The ad is a big steaming pile of faux empowerment. The "women" are styled like little girls: pigtails, bare feet, cut-offs, rompers, bright colors, Chuck Taylors, cheap plastic jewelry. It's not that there aren't women who occasionally dress like this, just that in a crowd of women, couldn't some of them be dressed in an unmistakeably adult way?

So there is a new car ad (for a Civic?) that features a zombie type dead guy driving around. His arms come off at a golf course but they're attached later in a bar when he's hitting on some girls. The point is something about how the Civic is for everyone.
I've mentioned my real life phobia of zombies before. And now there's another care ad to avoid. I'm already lunging to shut up the obnoxious blond kid, and his school mate's parents. How old are they supposed to be if they've been singing Angel of the Morning for an hour? And why do the advertisers want viewers to rush to mute their stupid ads?
I've clearly been watching too much television. And it's bedtime.

I haven't seen this commercial but I've seen the print ad for the printed pads. Why do we need printed sanitary pads anyway?

Huh, I would say that generally, pads tend not to stay plain white for too long after one unwraps them...
