Nope, not dead yet, just a thread dedicated to one of the most memorable actors of all time, especially when he's playing bad guys, like Dracula, Sauron, Count Dooku or Pa Wonka. Discuss all things Christopher Lee here- if you dare!

Damn, Slashgirl. I thought he had passed on as well! I actually spent a while deciding whether I wanted to come into this thread!
Anyway, fantastic actor, even though he seems to be the go-to guy for evil archvillains (my friend thinks that's the reason why he wasn't the next Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.)
He's Pa Wonka? I may have to overcome the weird unnerving feeling the trailers give me to go and see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after all.

He's the sexiest 83-year-old I know of. On the extras for the Lord of the Rings DVD's he has lots of brilliant and insightful things to say. He'd be a fascinating dinner companion.
He's also having the "Best Week Ever" according to VH1, which I thought showed surprising wit and taste on their part.
ETA: I wish they'd gone with him for Dumbledore, too, because I'd love to see him not play a villian for once. But his age probably counted against him as much as his "reputation", since they had five more movies to get through when they were looking for the last Dumbledore.

Oh thankee to the gods, I thought this was going to be an obit.
Lee is an incredible actor with great charisma and has been far too much overlooked by Hollywood.

What everyone else said! And if you haven't seen "The Wicker Man," you MUST... IMMEDIATELY!I have worshipped this man ever since I can remember: don't even know where to start. And I, too, think I do need to see "Chocolate Factory" now! ;D

Caught off guard with that one! I thought he had died!
Anyway, he is a great actor. I wish they would have showed more of his role in Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. They did put in his expanded part in the extended DVD though!

I had such a crush on him [Peter Cushing too] when I was a kiddo. All those Hammer horror movies they showed on our local Creature Feature show on Sat. afternoons. Cheekbones and sexy acents!!

Any reason why this week of all weeks, he's having the Best Week Ever? I mean, I could understand a while ago, with LotR and Star Wars and all, but this week? Why? Because he lived through it?
