I can tell no difference between her voice and Duffy's.

I got her CD from the library and sorry, I'm not that impressed. Her voice is heartfelt, I'll give her that, but her music almost bores me stiff. She's lovely in her videos, though.

I heard almost the entire album while at Barnes and Noble this weekend and couldn't believe it was getting so many raves. I thought 19 was boring and this one is its equal.

I agree that her enunciation is bad but for some reason, it's part of her charm or something. I think her voice is amazing and gorgeous. And I love her songs. And I also have a huge crush on her.

I like both Adele and Duffy, but they do not sound alike. Duffy is more raspy, while Adele is more bluesy and soulful.
YMMV.

I actually couldn't think of two voices that sound *less* alike than those two. That's a really odd comparison IMO. Still obsessed with 21 (in particular Someone Like You, One and Only, Take it All, Turning Tables, Set Fire to the Rain, Don't You Remember and Rolling in the Deep). Adele's songs just have a way of sucker punching me right in the stomach.

I heard one of her songs on the radio and tried to it give a listen. She sounded like a croaking toad. Which is too bad cause otherwise, I don't think it was a bad song.

My mom swears up and down that they sound alike. Say what?!

My mom swears up and down that they sound alike. Say what?! I can actually sorta hear that one. I love Adele's voice and am not really a fan of Fergie, but she can have a sort of bluesy quality to her voice (albeit still a lot lighter/breathier than Adele's). This seems more evident when she's singing throwback-style songs, like Clumsy.
