The Chet Hanks one killed me.

I think she’s doing the pretty typical post-divorce messy phase. Lose lots of weight, party party, look at me in my bikini blah blah blah. I have friends who have done the same thing. Adele just has a bigger platform.

I was on Twitter when the photo dropped, and Adele, Katy Perry, and Chet Hanks started trending, but I didn't see a whole lot of anger from Black Americans (later to become a trending topic), just a lot of cheek-clapping jokes, comparisons to Katy Perry, and wondering when she link up with Chet Hanks. The next day, Black Americans was trending with non-USian Blacks bashing and accusing Black Americans of calling it cultural appropriation, accusing us of always complaining about police brutality and being violent, having no culture, etc.

Between her album coming out this Friday and Taylor's 10-minute version of "All Too Well," my emotions have been "I just want to lay in bed all day and be in my feelings."

Public proposals are pretty weird, but this one was pretty sweet and I would probably love having Adele sing to me, too.

Honestly what a ride that woman must have gone on - she gets blindfolded and the noise-canceling headphones, then her boyfriend has her take them off and she’s suddenly in front of all these people (I loved that through her tears of joy and confusion she did ask, “Who ARE these people?!”). Her boyfriend proposes, this crowd of strangers cheer. Then effin’ ADELE steps out of the shadows, looking like a goddess in that gown, telling her to take a seat because she’s going to sing to her. And then I like to think that when she sat down she finally looked around and was thinking, “Holy shit - is that Lizzo?! And did I just get handed a glass of champagne by Melissa McCarthy?!”

She sounded and looked great at the concert. I enjoyed her Oprah interview too - she comes across as very tough and determined, but also very funny and charming.

Freaked out at 30 and 40 me, tho, can’t be loving 30....

I missed the British An Audience with Adele only realized I had on my tv provider with half an hour to go.
The bits on Twitter I’ve seen are incredible also she invited Grenfell survivors and the fire fighters was surprised by her English teacher and check out Emma Thompson dancing too

I’m off to see if I can watch the whole thing on catch up. Yes! I can!
