Why do they have to make practically every song end with a glory note? That's the worst thinig that American Idol has created. There's so much over-singing in pop music these days. I don't listen to it much, maybe catch a youtube video or a performance on some awards show. It seems standard now.

A shocking boot? Hmm. Could it be Pia? Her voice is great, but she is sooo boring. The judges would definitely save her, though. I think anyone other than Haley, Stefano, or Thia would be a surprising elimination. Oh, or Naima since she has been in the bottom three.

Not only a long summer concert but a dull one with Thia on stage. Karen and Ashthon must be kicking themselves as we speak.
So a guy cannot leave the show until April 21?

Glad they got rid of the Judge's Save so early. Now the season will play out like the olden days.
That was one odd results show, though. Stevie Wonder singing to Steven Tyler, Hulk Hogan showing up for no apparent reason (could he please punch Ryan every week?), George Huff singing backup for Jennifer Hudson, Casey nearly dropped dead on stage...

I kinda liked it...better than the usual boring games that Ryan plays trying to fool us all..
All in all, lots of drama. Makes for good television. Loved that they stopped Casey from singing.
(I'm sorry, I just love James. For all of his rock posturing and big stature? He seems like a sweet guy....)

One decent thing about using the save is they can't use it on Tiara Princess Lauren. She's going to have a major meltdown when she is eventually voted out.
Nigel said to expect the unexpected and he was right.
ETA: Does the Corpse still need money to pay his back taxes? He's a part of the show now? The Hawthorne show isn't paying enough?

Marc saw what being on Idol has done for JLo and he wants in on the action. At least they were talking about music and performance aspects of the show, like explaining how ear monitors work on stage. It's better than that year the results show had the viewer call-in segment.
Lauren would've been perfect last season if she'd been old enough. The judges and producers were saying they wanted to find someone like Taylor Swift, but they picked more like they were looking for the next Brooke White. No wonder Lee won. This year the matchups are all wrong for her: Scotty is getting the country vote and the Diana/Jordin/Archuleta memorial "OMG that voice and only 16/17!" vote that Thia is also trying to get, and she'll never win a ballad throwdown against Pia.
