Those two scenes were just remarkable. And because of my new love for and addiction to Game of Thrones, I have compiled a list of what I love most about this show, in no particular order:
What I love most about Game of Thrones
The sexy. The intense and well acted dialogue. The pretty. The intense and well written scenery. The weirdness (twincest, pre-pubescent breastfeeding, etc.) The cinematography. The hot sex (twincest, dragon talk during sex, etc.) The fighting. The title sequence.
What am I missing?

The costumes, which I fall in love with a little more each week. How has it taken me this long to notice everyone wearing the pins with their House's sigil?

Yes! I meant to write costumes, but it slipped my mind due to all the hot sex scenes! Ned Stark wore the Hand of the King pin instead of his pin. I also should add Dragon heads and Dragon eggs.

Don't forget the brutal violence! I swear this show is going to break the TV record for most decapitations seen on screen.

My husband's comment as we watched the recorded ep and saw the doggy-style with lots of boobage and more, followed by full frontal: "And this is on TV?". LOL.
It is killing me that I haven't read the books and that I don't know what will happen. I foresee a lot of dying, real soon though. The king isn't going to last long, is he? Drinking wine with the queen is not a good idea me thinks, especially when she starts reminiscing.

The viewing figures are rising by the week, which apparently is unusual for a show which is episodic rather than a procedural. It requires people to get up to speed with lots and lots. It got over 8 million over all showings last week.
Mind you, this is a good spot for new viewers to start, cos the shit? It is starting to HIT THE FAN.
I've been telling people so far "OMG you've GOT to read the books!" just cos they're total page turners and great reads.
But now I actually would encourage people to hold off until the season is over. Cos what's to come is just too juicy to be spoiled. You're gonna have one hell of a jaw-drop before it's over. So RESISSSSTTT!

I love it for all the reasons everyone else has stated and I have to say I think it's awesome that it's totally kicking ass in the ratings. Finally a show I like that's not in danger of being cancelled after five episodes!

I'm wondering how they were able to legally shoot the 10 year old breast-feeding scene. Maybe it was a fake boob? I just had to think that a minor wouldn't be allowed to latch onto a woman's breast. Super creepy.

From what I read over at TWOP. it is a digital image of a breast. Not that the posters over at TWOP are the most reliable sources, but it does make sense.
I'm glad it's doing well in the ratings too, I feel validated when I like a show and find that many others like it too.
I started watching Camelot on Starz before I started watching Game of Thrones and now I'm like, "Came-what"? Really, Camelot blows compared to GoT.

In an interview, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Ser Jamie Lannister) said it's a fake tit:
