And I think this show is being produced by the original producers of Cold Case, no? I wonder if they left the show and that's what made it lose its appeal?

It's true though, what they say about this show, you are angry that an episode is over because you want to know what's going to happen!

I really like this show, but I wish that they would stop pretending that Linden is getting to Sonoma anytime soon. I'm tired of every episode consisting of her making promises that she's not gonna keep and her fiance whining about it. I wish she'd just say, "Look, I'm seeing this through to the end" and then she and her fiance deal with the fact that she won't be coming until the case is solved.

In her world it's only been 4 days, so maybe she really believes she can extricate herself at this point.
But yes, they should probably have that conversation instead of stringing that story along.

I liked when her fiancee said I do know you which is why I am canceling the barbecue on Sunday. I was hoping that was the conversation.
I keep going back and forth on the character of Holder. I appreciate the fact that for a lead actor he is unconventional looking (ugly). And I get what they are trying to do with him, he is the opposite of Linden who is meticulous and thorough. He is all instinct and impulsive. But at this point he seems kind of stupid. Aside from him discovering the sex room at the school he hasn't contributed a thing to the investigation.

I know he and Linden aren't not supposed to be real partners but he will be her replacement so there must be something he's good at. Unfortunately they really make him seem kinda stupid for some reason. As for the actor's looks: I've seen pics of him before he did this show and while he isn't conventionally good-looking, they're doing a good job of making him look...well, ugly.

I wish she'd just say, "Look, I'm seeing this through to the end" and then she and her fiance deal with the fact that she won't be coming until the case is solved. I keep going back and forth about this. Obviously we know she's the lead and isn't going anywhere so all the harping on her moving to Sonoma is annoying. OTOH, her character isn't supposed to be aware that she's the lead on a tv show and is just supposed to be living her life, which at present is to move to Sonoma to be with her fiancee. Right now, I'm willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt since I like that the show is making an effort to show that the characters' lives aren't static as opposed to most other detective shows on the air. Also, since each episode is supposed to represent a day in the investigation and there probably aren't more than 13 episodes, she won't be delayed more than two weeks.* However if this continues to be brought up in every episode then I will probably lose patience real fast. *I'm not sure how the original show handled it, but I'm guessing that a second season would take place in a new location with new detectives. Of course I could well be completely wrong about that.

No one watched this week? I still think the teacher is a red herring as it seems far too early to have a good suspect. I don't know what to make of the neighbour's claim he saw the teacher and another woman bundling a girl into a vehicle.
I do think dad's background in the mob is going to come back to Haunt him especially if he does go postal on the teacher.

I watched it - and I agree. I think the teacher is a red herring, but something is definitely up. That shot of his wife huddled in the corner hiding while the police were knocking on her door says that she (or her hubby) is guilty of something.

I have a feeling Linden's not going to make her red-eye flight to Sonoma
