I did a search which brought nothing up and then went through all 32 pages of this sub-forum so I really hope I didn't overlook an existing thread for this . Trailer for Fast Five, the latest installment of this series. I don't get what it's supposed to be about but I don't care. I'm there for Vin and Paul. I still have a soft spot for the first part and an even bigger soft spot for the two leads. But how freaky is it they don't seem to have aged in the past ten years since the first movie came out? Same goes for Jordana Brewster who looks exactly the same. Amazingly, it's at 81 % Fresh at rottemtomatoes.com.

I loved the original. F&F2 was dreck. F&F3 was improved. F&F4 was a nice return for the franchise. I'm looking forward to this purely because I've missed the Rock, and adding him to the testosterone mix is gonna be great. I'm not sure why Jordana Brewster, but I'll put up with her to get the boys back together. Boston.com[/color] article actually commended the series for its racial diversity.

I loved the first movie and thought the second was pretty washed up so I gave up. Now I feel I have to watch 3 and 4 before catching this latest one! The original just had a real charm to it. It wasn't an Oscar contender or anything, but it just had a certain something I liked. And I loved Vin Diesel in those days too, so maybe that was part of it!

I will be handing my money over this weekend. Walker & Diesel have me hooked.

I'll probably see it. But I'll remember to bring earplugs. When I saw the first one in AMC I thought my ears were going to blow off. I hated both 2 and 3, but loved 4. And if Paul Walker takes off his shirt, I'm there.

Just a heads up - be sure to stay until after the credits, I hear there's an extra scene where Eva Mendes makes a cameo, and implies that Michelle Rodriguez's character is still alive, or something like that.

What? Damn it. I left too early. I saw this tonight and it was cheesetastic. I loved every second of it. It was fun to see minor players back from earlier movies and there was a lot of humor in it. After seeing Vin and the Rock on-screen together, I have to say the Rock has way more charisma. I was having a hard time cheering for Vin in the Rock/Vin fights.

Saw Fast Five tonight. Really enjoyed it! Way better than Fast 4 or whatever it was called, much closer to the original. So much fun! Excellent action movie logic as they flip, explode, and destroy all mode of transportation and then attempt to demolish Rio de Janeiro.
And stay for the scene at the end of the credits! Yay!

Just got back from seeing it. Theater was packed, and the audience was very into it. Everybody started cheering and clapping when it turned out that Dom and Brian had managed to pull off the heist and get away with the money after all. And then everybody cheered again at the bonus scene after the credits. Couldn't help but feel kinda sad, though, knowing what's awaiting Han when he eventually makes it to Tokyo.
