Did I miss something? What's awaiting him in Tokyo? Also I love that his name is Han Seoul-Oh, clever clever. I saw it and loved it. Best of the bunch and oddly enough it appears that this is one franchise that tends to get better with every sequel (I like to pretend the 3rd one does not exist).

The fourth and fifth movies take place between the second and third films. Han's character ends up dying in Tokyo Drift. (That doesn't count as a spoiler anymore right? The third one's been out for years.)

Thanks for explaining Han's presence, incognito. I was wondering if I was seeing things. I knew Han was dead, but thought maybe he was playing another character.

Well, I wouldn't mind if they retconned the series so that the third one never happened.

And did Han die on screen? Because if not...and even if so, they can totally retcon him back to life. Or operate as if no one saw 2/3, which is totally acceptable and fairly accurate.

Thanks for the explanation about Han, I have never seen the 3rd one and just vaguely remember the 2nd one with Tyrese. Anywho, there will definitely be a sixth one because this movie made some serious bank this weekend.

See, I actually never watched the second or third films because they looked horrible (plus I'm the sort who gets attached to original casts, so I was feeling bitter when they kept bringing in new people). So I have no idea whether Han dies on-screen or not. But you're right, they should totally retcon him back to life. After all, they did it with Letty!

I am not a fan of these movies, but when I found out that Don Omar was going to be in them I had to go. How did I not know how fun these movies were? I loved it. Now I need to go back and watch the first three. I also need the soundtrack.

ESPN's Sports Guy and Adam Carolla dissect Fast Five and the series in a 76-minute podcast.

I saw this and I loved it, as I knew I would. I would rank them in order of favorites as 1,5,4,2, and 3 (Tokyo Drift was damn near unwatchable). I thought this was a great way to end the series,**spoiler so I was actually disappointed at the last scene. I also forgot Eva Mendes was in the 2nd movie, so when people whooped & hollered at her appearance** I had no reference point at all. The Rock/Vin fight was awesome and avoided that "so fast you don't see a punch connect" pitfall that most modern movie fights get into.
I also now realize just how much I enjoy a good car chase: while watching this I flashed on Ronin, The Bourne Identity, Bullitt (McQueen, yum) and The French Connection.
