I'm sort of in love with Adam. Not sure why. Maybe it's because he's seriously pretty? With some heavy weight charisma thrown in for good measure? But yeah...I understand the creepy vibe. I love me some Maroon 5, but occasionally could do without a song that doesn't seem to celebrate the singer's sexual prowess.

He IS pretty. And his voice is better on this show than any live Maroon 5 performance (they suck live). But maybe it's because I was expecting him to be super d-baggy, and he's been pretty cool. Of course he could be putting it all on for the cameras, but who cares. Just let me look.

Levine does give off self-important, douchey vibes, but sadly, I think that only adds to his attraction.
Actually, I'm very happy with the selection of judges. They're all really pretty. I mean, I know that this is entertainment and truly unattractive people probably never make it, but I think this group is, collectively, exceptionally attractive. And they're going to be singing together next week, which I am excited about.
I liked this last episode, but that was in spite of the battles, not because of them. My favorite person was probably Xenia's adorable little sister, and when the singers are being out-charisma'd by a little girl, they need to step it up.

I don't like that Castro girl. She's very precocious child star-y. She's not 10 - it's time to lose that shit.

Is it me or are there a lot of precocious little girls on this show?
I thought I had my fill of this with American Idol, now this? Oh, well, I guess I'll root for Javier even though he has been signed in the past.
For some reason, Blake Shelton is starting to become a celebrity crush even though I am trying to fight it.
Is it true that NBC will premiere The Voice after the Super Bowl in February? That would be good unless the strike isn't settled.

Yes, season two premieres in the post-Super Bowl slot. All signs are that there will be NFL in the fall, but the season may start late and be shorter.
I watched most of this week's episode, having not seen any of the battle episodes, and I was surprised at how often the singers were out of tune, especially the two teenage girls. My mom has watched some episodes, so I was happy to hear she missed it; she has perfect pitch, and her head may have exploded from all the clinkers.

Adam seems to me to be the one judge in it to win it... and he knows he's the underdog because he's not as famous as the other three. (Assuming Blake is popular amongst the country singer fans, of which I am not) So Adam comes off as nervous, like a little teacup poodle in a kennel with a bunch of pitbulls.
I don't think it's fair to keep duos around and have them battle with single singers. I think the duo will be gone first though, because they are pretty awful. Everyone this week was awful.

The only thing that really bugs me about Raquel Castro is her hair. I wish she would lose the precociousness, but I can live with it because I think she comes off as looking younger than she is.
But man, her hair. I can't even talk about it, that's how much I hate it. I hate the cut, I hate the length, everything. She's pretty and has a big voice, but all I could focus on during her battle round was her looong hair flopping around everywhere. I kept hoping someone would run through the ring with a pair of scissors during the battle and "accidentally" chop it all off.
ETA: I will forever and ever, until the end of time, cherish the image of Adam Levine as a teacup poodle. I don't know that I'll ever be able to see him as anything else.
