Is it my imagination or was EVERY single battle off key tonight?

No ma'am. I was in the kitchen cleaning out my cabinets, but had the TV all the way up to listen. And even in the rehearsals, I was yelling out, "FLAT!" What the hell? I haven't even played my instrument in years, but I still have a decent ear for sound. So why the hell don't the professionals on this show. And the fact that nobody acknowledged it, especially during the "shy young girl" battle off? The mind boggles.

Yeah, the battles were weak today. They should've left Bev or Vicci's for the end because those 2 stole the show.

Again, Blake failed to give a song that would really work well with the two shy girls. I get that the industry is hard, but no one in the industry would chose a song that was totally out of the talent's range.

I'm not impressed who whom they picked this round either.

Those people couldn't carry a tune if it had handles....I understand nerves, and that may make you sound shaky on your first few notes, but halfway through the song and you still haven't found your footing??

And I'm sorry, the song choices are awful...those elimination rounds need to be revamped for next season.

I'm shocked that the majority of the singers even made it to the blind competition. Was there just not many to choose from?

Hopefully, with the ratings this show has had, there should be some better talent that actually try out for the show next season.

Side note: Does anyone else think of BH 90210 when they hear the name "Emily Valentine"? She was an odd one that girl and last night she was a little too obsessive over that country singer. Maybe it was set up that way on purpose, but the local LA news apparently covered her "love story" on their 11 pm news broadcast, which I thought was odd.

Also, that one singer (can't think of her name) that had crazy eye shadow and clothes looked sooo pissed she wasn't selected. My LOL moment was when Carson was giving a run-down about her and said out of the blue, "She makes her own clothes/costumes". It was so random!

Once again, the song choices were BO-RING. What the heck? I hope the contestants get to choose their own songs during the live rounds. Overall, I thought the battles were better this week, but certainly not amazing.

This is where the positivity of the show gets a little grating. I think Christina was the only one who dared to say anything negative by calling someone "pitchy" (can't remember who). Some of these contestants are serious about making a living singing. Even though it's nice that no one is getting slammed and discouraged, they need constructive criticism rather than "oh, it's okay honey. you're just nervous." Making excuses for them isn't going to help them succeed.

It seems like they put all the best stuff up front, and now it SUCKS.

It's also heavily edited (until next week), so we'll see if they actually have the nerve to get hard ass on the bad singers.

I'm sort of in love with Adam. Not sure why.

My opinion on him varies from minute to minute. He can go from charming to creepy in a second. I definitely don't like his music, though. They come on the Adele Pandora station sometimes and I haven't heard a good song from Maroon 5 yet.
