I searched and didn't find a thread for him. I could have sworn there was one. If someone finds it, could they bump it up for me? Thanks. Anyway, I had an extended response for Noelle about Sean from the Wil Wheaton thread, and I wanted to move it so it would be Topically Correct. Wow! Really? Wow. Um, would you like the name of my therapist? Well, it's over now. Actually, I think it started w/ Mikey from The Goonies, and that image just superimposed itself over every role he played thereafter for me. Then I saw IceBreakers and I finally had my epiphany. His strong, liberal left-handed tendencies also turned me off (I think borokat and I are the only conservatives on this board). I mean, politics are a personal opinion, and I believe you can think any way you want, but once you jump the couch about it (lovin' that expression! ;D), you've lost me.

I was completely neutral toward him until I watched the commentary version of the LOTR. He was so annoying. I kept yelling, "Shut the fuck up!" at my television.
ETA: After watching the commentary I felt like calling up Orlando's rep and telling him to get a restraining order against Sean. Sean has some serious love/envy/hate issues going on with Orlando, and it's really obvious if you watch the commentary. It's freaky.

I personally prefer his brother, Mackenzie. But I do like the fact that he has been married for awhile and he has 3 kids. That is refreshing in Hollywood, especially at his age. Glad to know there are 3 of us here! Sometimes over at FT, I felt a little out of place.

I think he's so cute. I loved seeing his fuzzy, chubby belly on Las Vegas.

Sean Astin + 30 pounds = Sexy.
Sean Astin at normal weight = not so much. Weird, I know.

I remember hearing years ago about him being a real diva on set and overall bitchy to fellow actors he worked with, and I've never liked him since. It just put me off. I had hoped that he would have come to his senses over the years, but Noelle's mention of him re the LOTR commentary makes me think he's still a PITA.
One of the only things I do like about him is the fact that his father is John Astin (I loved him as Gomez in The Addams Family).

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking me. I got annoyed with Sean during the first and the second of the Lord of the Rings movies when I watched them on DVD with commentary. I haven't watched the third commentary, because I don't want to listen to Sean.
ETA: He's begging for a spanking during both commentaries.
