Biploar disorder and manic depressive disorder are the same thing, stargirl. I think "bipolar" is actually a more modern term or something. Sigh... Yes, I would still do him, too. Scarily enough, I married a guy named Shawn and he resembles Sean in a most embarrassing way.

I read on FT that the autobiography he wrote showed a lot of jealousy and bitterness towards his LOTR costars who have become more successful, but I haven't read it so I don't really know.
The campaigning was the year he was designated to speak for the cast of LOTR when they won a SAG Award. He launched into this long and completely inappropriate speech about unions and runaway production. It was so obvious that he had some kind of union leadership ambitions and that this was his way of trying to get noticed. And he did such an embarassing job of it, like he was trying to get the audience to cheer him on and they weren't into it. I think they were stunned by how inappropriate he was being. It really was painful to watch.

His mother was a SAG president at one time, so I can totally see where he got it from.

Me too. Speedos are gross, but I love slightly doughy boys. *dreamy sigh*

X-posted in Celeb Encounters, but passed Sean on the lot for the last day of shooting Adam Sandlers "Click." He was being quite loud, stodgy and self-important for three in the morning and I totally ducked down a side street to avoid him, thinking he was a talkative extra.
He's like everybody's favorite blowhard "Uncle Sean." And for some reason, I don't mind. It just cracks me the hell up that the guy I saw reminded me of what we CPMGoG'ers thought Sean Astin was like, and it turned out to be Sean Astin.
