His Doctors are saying he suffered massive brain damage while he was buried by the snow and may never wake up, apparently it took nearly 50 mins to revive him. They are going to move him to a private clinic for further treatment but unfortunately it sounds as though they are just prolonging the inevitable. I feel so bad for his family-those poor little girls. I have a soft spot for the Dutch Royals-all three of Bea's sons married smart women, and that to me says a lot about both Bea's influence and them as men that they're not intimidated. |

Yeah, the news has hit the nation quite hard, though the writing had been on the wall. For days it was just "No change, his condition is still stable but critical." I really for his family, his girls are still so young. And for the Queen, these are meant to be her autumn years of her reign, but these last few years have been quite rough.

I just looked up Mabel--she lost her father when she was quite young, too. Assuming Prince Friso dies, that's got to be extra hard on her.

I think it's going to be even tougher for her, for she may have to decide whether or not treatment should continue.

Is there any news on Prince Friso? The best I could find is that he's still in a coma.

Nope, after he was transferred to London, the family has requested to view this as a private matter from now on. So unless something happens, in the sense of he wakes up from his coma, or he has died, there won't be any updates on his condition.
