Especially since he's still close with Bella and Connor. She's been jettisoned because he can't run her life. I know she's better off away from him, but it hurts to be the kid whose parent chucks you.

Totally. It's shocking to me when a parent can cut off all communication like this. It's pretty much why I despise Tom Cruise.

I feel so sorry for Nicole Kidman, who has no contact with her children, Connor and Bella. Scientology is a horrible, family-ruining cult and I hope it loses its tax-exempt status (hint, IRS!).

OT: Katie Holmes also dated Jamie Foxx, which still baffles me, this new guy looks nice. Who was the restaurant guy?

Yeah, that’s not accurate to compare Lennon to Cruise. Cruise really doesn’t have any with Suri as far as we know, while there was contact (phone calls, visits, and letters) from John to Julian. Still not the best dad, but far from complete abandonment.

I’m actually glad Suri doesn’t have contact with Tom, he would just be Scientology indoctrinating her and calling Katie a SP.

It must have been confusing as hell for a kid to go from Daddy's adored Messiah of Scientology one minute to having no contact with him what so ever and at the same time switch religions as your mom's family are devout Catholics and she rejoined at least nominally. That said, whilst it's sad that she has no or little contact with her father, it's a VERY good thing she's not being brought up a Scientologist and being home schooled by his sister like Bella and Connor were.

There is speculation earlier in this thread that Jamie Foxx cheated on her a lot or else it was a more open or on/off relationship than a celeb who wants a "wholesome, good mother" image can admit to. I have no idea if that's true.

Then again I was expecting Cruise to be re married no more than 3 years after the divorce and nothing.
