Renewed! I really can't believe it. I hope they move it off of Fridays. SO EXCITED! I was really surprised when I heard it, but hooray! I have a feeling Michael is going to die in the finale.

Last episode had one line about Percy and Division that made me laugh out loud. It was something like "you mean I have something to fear from a madman with a nuclear weapon...in New Jersey?" It was the delivery of "in New Jersey" that killed me.
So glad (and a bit shocked) that it's renewed. Yay for complete story arcs! I think that Nikita will die in the finale...taking out Percy once and for all. She is a hero, and heroes sometimes die doing what is right.

I actually think that Birkhoff is a more likely candidate. The writers have been drumming it into our heads how irreplaceable Birkhoff is so it would be a crushing blow (see: Shadow Walker). He's no longer needed to bankroll Team Nikita's missions since his money got stolen and Alex has taken over. Finally, the show has been hinting at Sonya's (the Division techie) defection for a while now, so she could possibly take over his role. All of this could add up to Birkhoff sadly being offed.
I think that Nikita, Michael, and Alex are all safe going into this week's season finale. Of course, next year's finale will be anyone's game because it could very well be the show's last, so the writers might just go wild.

Ah we're talking about this season's finale! I agree that Birkhoff and well, Sean, are likely candidates for deaths this season. I figure that next year's season will be its last and Nikita will die saving the world.

There are rumors that Nikita might be moved to Wednesday nights next season, paired up with the new Beauty and the Beast show (starring Kristin Kreuk). I'm not sure if I like the idea, because Nikita had fairly stable albeit low ratings on Friday. And this being the sort of show it is (i.e. serialized, not very newbie-friendly), I doubt it's going to pick up that many new viewers even if it's moved.
Low ratings that would be acceptable on Fridays will not be so easily forgivable on Wednesdays.

Just watched the finale, but I know it hasn't aired everywhere, so all I can say is: wow! Was not expecting that.

I've already downloaded the Canadian broadcast but haven't watched it yet because I don't want this season to be over, dammit. But your comment is making me anxious, sardonictart.

I d'led it too. Watched it plus the last 2 eps all together. Bravo, writers! Bravo.
I wasn't expecting that either, sardonicart. I'm excited for the new season. And I'll say with the game changer that this show could go on another couple of years.

That finale was awesome. And suddenly the decision to make Noah Bean a season 3 regular makes a lot more sense!
BTW, as an fyi, Nikita will be on Fridays at 9 pm next season.
