I really, really, really hate the facial expressions that Nicole makes when she is watching people sing. Really.

Her "empathetic" face?

Her "empathetic" face? Yeah, that one, and also the one where she looks like she's in pain and/or taking a crap, which is almost always followed by her raising both arms and "dancing" in her seat.

You know what I hate- they way she says "I'm going to have to say [yes or no]" passively like it's not a choice or decision that's in her control. ugh.

You know what I hate- they way she says "I'm going to have to say [yes or no]" passively like it's not a choice or decision that's in her control. ugh. But sometimes it isn't. The producers are the ones who often really decide who stays or goes in shows like this and the judges are just figureheads. Except for Simon, all the other judges don't have that power. Well, maybe LA Reid, he runs a record label, maybe he's not doing much of Simon's bidding, but Nicole and Paula? Sure. Thursday's episode tied with a rerun of The Big Bang Theory in the 18-49 ratings. The new episode was a much better draw. An hour vs. two hours, so Fox still won the night. But I doubt Simon thought he was going to be tying/losing out to sitcoms when he announced he was bringing this to America.

Oh, I still think she's trying not to take responsibility for her actions.

Nicole is so dumb, and apparently incapable of dealing with a live show. I guess she's finally releasing the solo album she's been working on for, I don't know, 5 years, this winter.

Nicole is totally devoid of any sort of personality. I watched a bit of this mess for the first time last night, it was sort of amusing watching her attempt to fake emotion. It was like she knew she had to fake caring or anger, but couldn't.
I wonder if Fox will cut their losses and give Nicole her walking papers after this season. They might as well go after Mariah again now that dembabies are born.

I'm happy with the finalists that went through, though I would have liked the Brewer Boys to stay. I was very happy with who Simon let go in particular.
My favorites are Drew and Marcus.
What the heck with the host though? How did he get this job? He's both totally awkward (put down your hand!) and completely boring! He seemed to have no idea and couldn't keep up with the show. Not a fan.

Melanie Amaro is sooo good. Simon would have been completely nuts to have let her go. I really like Drew too, but I think they need to come up with something new for her soon because just slowing down songs is getting old.
I feel like I am missing something watching a few of the acts, like Intensity and even Stacy Francis, whose voice I just plain dislike.
