It made me laugh that Fiona's hell was being stuck at the farm in Covington because that's where my family is from. LOL. Misty's death and eternity made me so sad. I knew that Fiona was screwed after she died. I didn't miss Madison at all. I wish she had been the first to go, but the show needed a little more of her drama. I felt awful for Misty. Even the others witches were sad that they couldn't help her. I don't know that she's condemned to Hell. Myrtle said was that if they didn't come out of it, they'd die. Misty didn't come out of it, so she died and turned to ashes. I'm hoping this means she's not condemned to the nightmare. I don't think she had a shady past. The sadder moment came when Myrtle demanded that Cordelia burn her at the stake again. I loved Myrtle. Her final word "Balenciaga!" slayed me. I wondered about the Spalding thing. I know Kyle is capable of killing him again. I wouldn't want that creepy dude in my house, especially around the new witches. All I could think as "Someone please find the baby and return him/her to his/her parents." At the end, when one of the young witches asks "Who's the Supreme?" and Queenie responds "You're looking at her," this exchange suggests that the entire cycle will repeat itself. I think that Cordelia is much, much wiser than Fiona was though.

I thought that finale was pretty terrible. It was really uneven, but I've watched the intro several times. (I'm so glad they let them use that song! I squeed to rival Misty Day when the first notes played and Stevie showed up in the hat.) The best part for me was Fiona shrieking " Knotty Pine!" when she realized she was in hell. Ah, I will miss this show. It has been my guilty pleasure to look forward to each week since October. ETA: Since there was no further development with them in the last episode, I think Papa Legba decided that Marie Laveau and Madame LaLaurie deserve each other, and they are now doomed to spend eternity together in that horrible attic torture chamber.

Oh, I'm so sad this season is over. It was definetly my favorite so far (though I still really liked the other two lots!) But this was the first season finale that felt all the way satisfying to me. I mean, I was sad for the demise of Misty- however in my head canon, she didn't remain in Hell but is now twirling her way through Paradise where it's all Stevie all the time. I was less sad to see Myrtle go surprisingly. I loved her, and she was probably my favorite all around character. But her death was so MYRTLE! It's hard to explain- but I loved that she did it all on her terms and died for what she felt was right. She wanted the coven to be cleansed of all the drama and death Fiona's reign had caused and wanted them to have a fresh start without any old scandals or anyway for anyone to hold her up as an example as someone who 'got away with murder'. If it had been anyone else deciding that Myrtle had to die, I would have been devastated. But since it was all Myrtle's idea... I don't know it just upped my love for her all the more. Plus "BALENCIAGA!!!!" Oh Myrtle! And you know, I was rooting for Fiona all along. If she had killed off the entire coven before they found a suitable Supreme, I would have been cackling right along with her. And yet, once they finally declared Delia the Ultimate Grand Supreme and she was so awesome about it, putting everything to rights and making the school public to bring in more wayward witches- I didn't want Fiona to win anymore. I was genuinely nervous when she was hugging Delia with that little knife so nearby. Esp. after Delia treated her with a little kindness right at the end. I was so afraid she would decide that was weakness and gut her daughter with her last breath. Instead, she's stuck forever in a farm in Covington with the Axeman bringing her catfish every day. Heh. Heaven for him, Hell for her. And my family is from Covington- Va... I'm not sure if this is the same Covington though. But yeah, no offense to my aunt who still lives there, but it's pretty much the last place I'd want to wind up for all eternity. So, sad the show is over for now. But still, what an awesome send off. Complete with Stevie Nicks video montage! WHEEE!! P.S.: I'm not counting Fiona out yet either. I could totally see her 'death' as some ruse she cooked up with her Axeman including an implanted future scenario for Cordelia to 'see'. I totally called it last week!!! Braggy Brag Brag Brag! :-)!!

No, they were referring to Covington, Louisiana which is about an hour north of New Orleans. It used to be a small town and farming community, but now it is a pretty posh bedroom community. Still plenty of rednecks roaming around, though.

It's never too early to start speculating about season 4! I did some trawling around the Internet in my withdrawl state and came up with the following. (Too many links, so I'll just condense!) All of this is attributed to RM himself, mostly from EW interviews (spoiler tagged below): {Spoilery-Spoilers!}*It will not involve a circus/freakshow setting. This was just some fanart/wishful thinking. *The setting will switch time periods. Part of it will take place in 1950. *Jessica Lange is working on a German accent. *There were hints about the theme for the new season in the last 3 episodes. *It will be completely different from anything they've done before. *It may stay in New Orleans or possibly be shot in New Mexico. Ordinarily the "something completely different," might narrow it down, but since this is AHS, that only eliminates, oh, say, ghosts, devil spawn, crazies, serial killers, Nazis, aliens, satanic Nuns, killer Santas, witches, minotaurs, zombies, frankenpeople, and all the other insanity that we've been subjected to on this hot mess of a show over the past three years!.... Wait, wait, I think I've got it! AHS: Giant Atomic Commie Werewolf Tarantulas and Vampire Roaches! But seriously, I'm terrible at these things. There were a lot of Red Scare references scattered here and there (comment during the board room massacre, American flag at the knotty pine bungalow, Delia's interview where she insists she's not recruiting or converting, something about a Russian witch), but I feel like FX already has The Americans as its Cold War hot mess show.

I feel like American Horror Story: Circus was already done on the show Carnivale which was set in the depression and featured good vs. evil, over the top acting, accents, sex, and violence.

Something about McCarthyism maybe?
I admit, I stopped watching season 3 after the Roots episode. I thought this season was awful and weirdly boring. But I'll give season 4 a chance.

BUMP because it's back tonight, for 90 minutes instead of 60, so DVR accordingly. I'm not as excited as I should be for this, probably based on last season's disaster, but I will be watching. The reviews seem to say that "freak" is the appropriate word for the first two episodes.

I'm so excited about tonight. I even ordered the horrible FXCanada to watch it.I don't care how bad or good it will be as long as it's campy, I'll be there.
