I got the impression that she's very shy and feels out of place. She didn't have the whiff of "I'm too cool for this" that Kristen Stewart has. I don't know much about her at all, though, really. Am I wrong that she's shy?

She did seem really awkward at her E! interview, she was talking really quietly and didn't say much. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this her first big awards show red carpet thing? I'm inclined to cut her a little bit of slack.

It really is too bad that she's found a look that really works for her, based on a single film role, and is relentlessly working that look as if it's part of her push to ascend from the C to the A List. She's talented and beautiful but, like Bradley Cooper, is going about the star-ascension process in a too-forced and calculated manner.

Is she still working on Dragon tattoo films right now? I would think that would account for her goth looks at the moment.

That's what I thought too. But no, apparently the other movies aren't even a sure thing. There have even been rumors that Finch wants to walk from directing the other two in favor of another project.

Nothing on board at the moment or even in pre-production so there's nothing to stop her from dyeing her hair or wearing non-white makeup. She's working the Goth Girl look for all it's worth.

The sequel has been greenlit and will be filming at the end of the year. (Also, apparently the screenwriter has changed the book a bit to include more Lisbeth.) Fincher's involvement, however, has not been confirmed. He'd like to shoot the next two back-to-back if he does them. Fincher has about 27 other projects to work on and there are rumors that the studio may be looking into someone else to save money. However, his contract for the first one included an option for the second, so he gets paid for it whether he directs it or not.

I can't imagine how bitchy Rooney would be in interviews over a new director. And, frankly, I doubt her performance would be as good.

She actually is trying more interesting dresses at the overseas premieres. I think this red number is stunning. As is this dress.

I don't know why she's so set on basic, boring black here.

Which along with her 'self-sabotage' makes me wonder if she'll last long regardless of talent.
