I can't imagine how bitchy Rooney would be in interviews over a new director. And, frankly, I doubt her performance would be as good. Which along with her 'self-sabotage' makes me wonder if she'll last long regardless of talent. Indeed. I haven't seen Dragon Tattoo, but even the best actress in the world isn't going to make it if she can't play the game accordingly. |

Her interviews and attitude were already insufferable. I can't imagine what this is going to do to her.
At least Gwyneth is self-centred in an amusing way. Rooney just makes me wish she'd go away.

She's already getting lots of flack for knocking out Tilda.
One way or another I don't see her having a long career. She needs a strong director (Fincher) or otherwise she's not impressive.

I'm not that mad at her for knocking out Tilda (who already has an Oscar and could seem to give less of a fuck). But I am disappointed that there's no potential to see another Oscar speech where Tilda gives George Clooney shit for his Batman nipples.

I'm more annoyed that she probably knocked out Elizabeth Olsen. She gave a much more impressive and harrowing performance.

If she were to actually win the Oscar this early in her career, I think we'd never see her beyond the Dragon film/s. Well-established actresses struggle to overcome the Oscar curse; she wouldn't stand a chance.

Not that Kate's some master thespian but, even though I'm sure she's happy for her sister, it must also kind of suck. That said, I don't think that history will be kind to Rooney's Oscar nod. |
