I don't watch Criminal Intent, but I saw Kate on SVU when she was much younger. She played an overly dedicated gymnast who was being molested by her coach.

I know Rooney doesn't think much of her appearance on SVU, but I enjoyed it way more than that ghost movie she did with Casey Affleck.

I remember reading an issue of Allure magazine a few years ago that featured an interview with her after she adopted her "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" persona. She was commenting on still photos of her in past roles, including this one. She found the plot dumb--she and some other kids assaulted another overweight kid and the motive was that she herself used to be heavy. Therefore, it was an act of self-loathing. I mean, I don't disagree, but it didn't come off well. She had to publicly walk back the comment afterward.
