She doesn't need to look that freaky. There were some paparazzi photos of her and Ryan Gosling and she wasn't wearing any makeup and looked very pretty with the black hair. Her makeup is terrible.

Stellan aside...they look pretty stupid making a Swedish story in Sweden when they don't really know the culture or language. This whole thing just seems dumber to me all the time.

I recently watched the original and read the subtitles in my non-native language and it was not difficult. In re-making foreign films, something is often lost, e.g. nuances within the culture or history and everything just feels so Hollywood-homogenised to me. I think it is ridiculous that they re-made this.

She really was appalling in A Nightmare on Elm Street and frankly publicly trashing it doesn't do her any favours in my view.
Don't get me wrong it was shlock but Katie Cassidy managed to give an entertaining performance in that movie so it wasn't impossible.
I admit actors slating their less than Oscar worthy films is really a pet peeve of mine since I think it's pretty disrespectful to any fans of the the flicks.

They remake films all the time. I don't see what the big deal is. MANY people will watch the Fincher one that would never watch the original, so there is no reason to say they could just see the original.

It always makes me facepalm when so many Hollywood stars don't learn from Michael Caine and admit they did the movie for the money while refraining from openly trashing it. It's hardly a coincidence that Sir Michael remains one of the most respected and adored actors in Hollywood whether he does Jaws The Revenge or The Cider House Rules.

Lainey had a blind item today which I thought was about her and Fincher.
The only thing though, I thought I had read somewhere that Fincher was gay. Am I missing something?
