I met Nancy at a party for that Richard Curtis 60's radio movie. She and Paul were there - I think Paul had a song on the soundtrack or something. Anyway, Nancy was very nice. A little ditzy (my sister was asking her a bunch of questions and it took Nancy around ten minutes to work out my sis was a journalist, even though it was a press party. Then she was like "Oh! I shouldn't be talking to you!") but warm and friendly. And I totally thought she was in her 30s.

She looks great in the pics in that MSN article. Congrats to the happy couple and get me her dermatologist's number!

Paul takes the plunge again. The bride looks lovely and they both look really happy. Here's hoping this marriage is much happier than the last. The bride does not appear to be a gold-digging beeyotch, so that helps. I think she's got her own gold.

Awwww, congrats to them! They both looked so thrilled in those pictures!
I think this marriage has a good chance of lasting. Stella designing Nancy's wedding dress and suit (wonderful job on Stella's part btw) is bound to be a good sign that at least his kids approve.

I was shocked when I found out she is 51. I saw the footage of them yesterday and thought for sure she was about 30. I was relieved to find out she was older, because a 30+ difference seemed a bit too much. Congrats to them and I hope they're both happy together.

Most people who know Heather hate her. But I think if Nancy Shevell had come along 12 years ago like Heather did, she would have had a hard time with the kids, it being so soon after Linda's death and being "the first" girlfriend.

I never jumped on the "Oh, Paul" bandwagon because the whole Heather thing was his own fault. It was too soon for him to marry but he did so anyway and she turned out to be a major beeyotch.
I think this marriage will last. They seem happy.

It was dumb, but grief can affect people's decision making abilities. Widowers, in particular, often seem to have a harder time than widows and a lot of them get married again really quickly because they are just lost without a mate.
I did find it a little unfair how the media had no problem with him remarrying and always seized the opportunity to remind us how devoted he was to Linda. There's a double standard when it comes to famous women who are widowed - they are expected to live like nuns for the rest of their lives lest they be accused of betraying/not really loving their husbands.
